For some strange reason, you're without an internet connection, but you want to build. There's the new offline ROBLOX mode!
It will be an empty baseplate where you can build and upload your creations later when you're back online. |

1) No. 2) What seem to have happen to your Internet connection? 3) There is already a way. My friend uses roblox off-line, his Internet connection is broken but he can still use the program. |

Ok, here it is:
1. Go to C:\Users\%WindowsUsername%\AppData\Local\Roblox\Versions 2. Find the most recent folder with all the files in it 3. Double click on RobloxApp.exe, not Roblox.exe 4. You now have studio.

I'm wishing for Offline Solo Mode for Roblox Studio too. All of the files are in the folder. I don't know why it even needs to connect to load the default character (The one that looks like a noob. lol) anyway.
I posted something about it on this new thing Roblox has now: http://roblox.uservoice.com/forums/4658-roblox/suggestions/2300931-play-solo-offline
Have A Great Day! :-D

Thanks to the Roblox Wiki I found a way to play Solo Offline in Roblox Studio. =-D
1: Open Roblox Studio. 2: Load a saved place. -Or- Create a new one and make an Anchored Base Place.
3: If you don't have the command bar at the bottom of the screen. Here is how to open it: 3-a: Click "View" up at the top of the window. 3-b: Select "Toolbars". 3-c: Click "Command" if it don't have a check-mark by it.
4: Click the Run/Play(Green Arrow/Triangle) button at the top of the window. 5: Past this script into the "Command" bar at the bottom of the window. Then hit enter:
game.Players.RobloxLocked = false game.Players:CreateLocalPlayer(0) game.Players.Player:LoadCharacter(true)
I tested this with the internet cord unplugged & the WiFi turned off. I clicked OK in the no internet pop-up window. Then did the above. It worked fine for me in Windows Vista. I hope it works for you too. :-)
Note: This was posted on January, 1, 2012. Roblox may have a button for it. Or disabled the code. The script only works in the Command Bar that I know of. Scripts & LocalScripts cant use it.
Have A Great Day! :-D

Support, in so many ways.
I gave up on building due to that. Everytime I decide to go build : WHOOP, YOU LOST INTERNET CONNECTION.

| I don't know how you could build without internet but maybe you could script your game. |

Just use the Command bar at the bottom of the Roblox Studio window. You can only use the Command bar when a place is loaded.
I posted the instructions on how to get Roblox to load the offline avatar.
Just paste this into the Command Bar: game.Players.RobloxLocked = false game.Players:CreateLocalPlayer(0) game.Players.Player:LoadCharacter(true)
Then press Enter.
And you will be able to play with an avatar that looks like a noob. You can use the Explorer and Properties in Roblox Studio to change the body colors. The Avatar along with its Face & Scripts are saved offline when the game is installed.
Note: If you are not connected to the internet. Decals/Textures & Mesh's will not load. Only the offline ones saved in the Roblox folder will load.

| When in offline mode, loading an existing place takes forever, and may eventually crash the game. This is why offline mode was removed as of now. |
