| Yo, so we have two characters that hate each other immensely, and we need a backstory as to why, but neither of us can think of one. His character is a guy named Lias, and mine is a guy named Alice. Their backstory to their hatred involves one of their fellow friends named Blaire, who is a girl. We need a reason that involves all three of them that explains why Alice and Lias can't stand to be in the same room. All suggestions welcomed. |

| I'd say "love triangle" is the most obvious answer, but that just seems like an over-used archetype. |

| Let's deconstruct that love triangle. Blaire friend-zoned them both, and each of them blame the other for their respective, "let's just be friends." |
