| @Vaz You forget Americans don't use the metric system? Should have said 86° F. Still, 86 is nothing. We get that all the time in summer where I live. Getting 90s all next week. Google Lenexa, Kansas wheather for proof. Also very humid so it'll feel even hotter. |

elephants across the globe are getting warmer, forcing them to move to colder, more plausible habitat.

it does exist,
but there is no way we can stop it, we can only slow it down. |

| climate changes naturally, we should expect fluctuations, there were ice ages and then thawing and back and forth all over the place well before humans existed |

Through analysis of ice cores, we can definitively calculate the levels of CO2 in the atmosphere within the past several hundred thousand years. CO2 levels now are higher than they have ever been within the past 400,000 years. And we're not just talking on the order of a few ppm, we're talking about at least a 100 ppm difference between modern day CO2 levels and the highest peak within the past 400,000 years or so. This is relevant because CO2 is known to be a greenhouse gas. It isn't a particularly potent one compared to other greenhouse gases, but the rate at which CO2 levels are increasing is the concerning part, because it could very well become a much larger problem once we reach higher volumes of CO2. Global warming can simply be proven by looking at the general average trend of temperature increase since the industrial revolution. It was also during the industrial revolution that the CO2 levels in our atmosphere began to climb at an alarming rate.

I'll say this again, but not only are the LEVELS of CO2 higher than they have ever been within the past 400,000 years, but the RATE OF INCREASE is much, much, MUCH higher than it has ever been within that time period as well. NASA has a chart of atmospheric levels within the past 400,000 years, and you can clearly see that since the industrial revolution, the rate of atmospheric CO2 increase skyrocketed.

well if you want actual proof there is more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere than it has been in an extraordinary long time, and it began rising during the industrial revolution hmmm seems pretty damn obvious to me that we're causing some sort of global warming

no but really thanks to the industrial revolution and that hot cracking smoke, polar bears and other polar animals are in the brink of extinction because of the excessive amount of carbon d i o x i d e in the atmosphere in conclusion, humanity wants to finish themselves
