I'll say it again:
1. Aye
I've spoken to a lot of people so far regarding the repeal and they have also backed me up on it. A lot of our country's brightest minds currently serve in the executive leadership and it would be unjust to prevent them from running because it results to the fact that they are abandoning their home agency without securing a firm victory, as stated by Senator Tankslayer10, which I completely agree with. The fact of the matter is that if they can run for office while keeping their duties in check, it would not matter. It adds to the fact that we are only getting more legislators and allowing brighter minds to come to Congress, seeing as situations such as the House lack bright minds and struggle with activity. If the individuals get in, they would only be doing good to our country rather than harm and it is what we need at the current moment of time.
We have too little people running and no competition; repealing this would improve that, all in all it would allow these people to run and improve our legislature, and would bring more activity and competition. Also, people are not permitted to swear in until they either resign or finish from another office. This already serves as a barrier; there is no need to add an additional buffer. Those who run cannot swear themselves in because they cannot hold two public offices, but they should most definitely be permitted to run. I'd also like to see a reason provided by the President rather than a simple "veto" this repeal would restore a lot to our elections and congress in total. |

Nay.
I can't agree with this, I believe it's a terrible idea to have this bill enacted.
This bill was meant for NUSA's elites like MrShibe who apparently cannot live his life waiting 2-3 weeks for elections (like all of us have done in the past), but instead this law would help such people run whenever they want.
I don't agree with it, this is a perfect example why Congress has such low approval ratings: for only benefitting the people at the top.
Unacceptable.
