So, the system has two components. The Probe and the Drogue, the Probe has a long retractable stick at at the top. The Probe enters the drogue with it's tip grasped by latches which are retracted. There are 8 hard capture flocks attached to both space crafts After the hard docking the pressure is equalized using the leak transfer system for the hatch to be opened for crews to transfer.

This is a very serious subject. People could die if this system does not work for crew transfers.

I mean, it isn't called the probe system but still. Very expensive rockets are used to deliver these payloads.
