Most people are hating on Nintendo because they have never played Nintendo.
I play both sense my friend has a PS4 and I also owned an Xbox.
And to be honest I'm getting sick and tired of the graphic excuse.
I might enjoy PS4 when they come out with something other than "grab a Gun and shoot enemy so" |

Also, if the PS4 is the future, then I might as well give up gaming. . . or at least console gaming, because a future of being the lazy/looser/couch potato/alone/etc playing on a box all day long is not what I wanna do with my life.
The Switch is the future of gaming. You can actually go outside and play it (Someone rigged PS4 and Xbox to do so, but it will set you back like, 3 switches and Mario kart, 1-2- switch, and some other game) and you won't be apart of the shamed stereotype.
Also, for those who consider VR the future, the Switch just needs an HMD to slide the Switch into and you can use the Joycons like in-game hands, and all (Save for the HMD) is already given for the price of $300! A PS4 pro already costs $400, and I presume a headset costs $200 already (Ish), and the headset is already a second screen! |

Only a very, very low number of PS4 games I own are shooters like that. PS4 doesn't have just shooters; you just don't know where to look

But how many people are actually playing their Switch outside instead of indoors? More people probably play their Switch inside

Also, like I said before, if it wasn't for Nintendo... might as well say goodbye to console gaming.
Incase you didn't know, after the Atari came out, people started getting into other ways of gaming, so stores stopped selling videogames, so Nintendo had to market the NES as a toy.
That wasn't the full story but just a summary of what happened,
If you want the full story I advise you look it up.
But again, without Nintendo there is not PS4. |

there was a collaboration between sony and nintendo
nintendo abandoned the project and moved with philips instead
so sony decided to create a new console out of the collab thing
thus creating the PlayStation and it successors

Because Sony was being Sony, they tried to take over Nintendo when Nintendo looked out to Sony to help make the SNES disk system, or better known as the Play Station. Sony tried to take over Nintendo by requiring that Sony license all products onto the SNES disk, Nintendo tried to save themselves from this monster and broke away from the deal. Sony then used the SNES disk system and upgraded part of it and made the 32 bit playstation. Sadly, it became successful and Sony would release multiple systems later and eventually came to the PS4. If Nintendo didn't exist, Sony wouldn't be interested in gaming and the PS4 wouldn't even have been thought of, much less a Sony console in the first place. |

I understand your point, but judging by the fact that many disk games made for the Famicom (NES in Japan) were plagued with bugs, long wait times, and that players had to flip the disk constantly (Zelda 2 only had the title and credits on the front side). Also, in a video showing Command and Conquer for N64 and PlayStation, the PlayStation (Which used discs) required 2 disks per faction played, while the N64 version was an all in one game. . .
So when research was done, carts were smoother, faster to load, and to Nintendo, was better and cleaner for the N64. Heck even now, Nintendo consoles load games faster than PlayStation and Xbox, which download games and play the downloaded version.
(I'm not saying carts are better than discs, I'm just noting why Nintendo made their decision.) |

however to developers disks were cheaper to produce, and developers didn't have to buy their cartridges directly from Nintendo if they chose the PlayStation
the reason why third party developers shifted over to PlayStation |
