| People in Canada should really start calling ''soccer'' football now since it's getting more popular than canadian football. I used to call it soccer but now I say football. |

| AUS/NZ also call it soccer. Along with Korea, Japan, Italy, and South Africa. |

Korea, Japan, and Italy definitely don't call it soccer. I'm not even sure South Africa does. Australia and NZ do call it soccer because of Australian rules football and rugby union respectively. |

| in italy, it's called Calcio, in Korea it's Chuggu (축구) and Japan they say Futtoboru (フットボール) |

CFL average attendance: 24,692 MLS average attendance in Canada: 23,187
CFL average TV ratings: 558,859
I can't find exact MLS tv ratings, but I saw a thread on "The Voyaguers" which is a forum for Canadian soccer fans that has them and MLS frequently gets outside the top 25 in ratings and their best game was 238,000 (a playoff game) in 2016.
CFL is WAY ahead of MLS in popularity in Canada. |
