The forums are full of people repeating eachother's ideas by basically commenting the same thing. I think they'd be more effective if we have a upvote/downvote tool (like with reddit). This also prevents unpopular ideas from being the top threads, as people aren't wasting their time commenting about how they disagree. The post will just have more downvotes and it'll be a lower ranked thread. Right now we don't have a way to systematically separate negative and positive attention.

No support, unless you remove downvotes and need at least 550 posts to upvote something. It would be abusable because people will just bot downvotes on others posts, and may bot upvotes, which would be why you need 550 posts or more.
