Hello! How would I make terrain constantly move in the x axis? Thanks! |

| What exactly are you trying to do? Does the terrain HAVE to move, or does it just need to *look* like it's moving? |

I'm afraid terrain is a fixed thing in roblox, you cannot change the position nor the size of cells. You can only fill and color cells. But, as being said already, you can make it look like it's moving by filling and coloring, say cell1 next cell2 to the fillings and coloring of cell2. But on a big scale, this would make up for some big lag, and in the end, you're not really moving anything anyway, so you shouldn't try. |

As previously stated, you could "move" the terrain by filling cells systematically, and you could do it pretty smoothly with smooth terrain, as you can set each cell's occupancy. But it would be quite an intensive script, requiring quite a lot of calls to :WriteVoxels(), which would probably cause substantial lag. I'm currently working on a game where the maps are generated with a single call to :WriteVoxels(), and just that one call freezes the game for a split second (this doesn't cause problems for me however, because all the players are just sitting around in the lobby anyway). Constant lag blips like that might defeat the purpose of having "moving" terrain.
