I'm honestly thinking about doing some *insane* and trying to somehow get another computer's resources over the network (running the same OS + with permissions of course) to do tasks "semi-remotely" and act as though that machine is a part of your machine for non-critical tasks (ie, sound daemon, Apache instance, etc.)
this is what's called a distributed operating system, but I'm not really sure how this would be useful for gaming.
hm Maybe because less bloat can be in the way of a game executing..? idk

well, I have a bootable kernel, it loads through GNU GRUB, and theoretically any other multiboot 2 compliant bootloader.
i'd screenshot but no tcp/ip stack yet or any screen capture capabilities. no GUI, kinda hard to port Firefox right now.

I'd honestly like to pull an Apple and actually build my own computers from the ground up to sell.
I'd probably draw up some case in Blender's TinyCAD plugin and then go and start making a prototype or something, trying to fix a full size ATX board into as small of a case as reasonably possible.
It would be made out of wood, cut by hand, etc. etc.
lots of work but it'd be kinda cool to do.

but that costs me $$$
unless you want me to sit at the dump, wait and hope that someone is giving away an old PC for free, and I'd clean it out and install DUET on it so it can pretend to be UEFI-compliant and run my OS lol
But that still costs me money in the form of travel time on the road, cost of the road's usage from taxes, gasoline, and productivity time, so you'd still have to pay me.

Use Windows 10 until Windows 10.1 release.
What is your budget, I'll set up a good PC for you?
