| I made a custom animation (guitar strumming) and I want it to play for an NPC. How do I do that? |

| None of this is helping. The animation is currently resting in a model called AnimSaves in the NPC itself. How do I take the animation saved in there and put it as the idle animation? |

| u cant use the anim save, that is only used in the animation player to load saved animations u need to export it, make a new animation with its animation id set to the ### of the exported animation then u need to call LoadAnimation on the humanoid of the npc to load the animation, and then play the loaded animation |

I'm broke on ROBUX and I'm not in need to buy one. I just need to be able to set mine up on an NPC to run by default. I think I got it, I'll leave a crash report down here if anything goes wrong.
Crash report: 1. Created object "Animation" and put it into the Model which is the NPC and added the animation ID of the exported animation 2. Pressed "Play" to test it out 3. Still frozen.
I have to be forgetting something so simple because I'm being stupid. |

Right now I got a Local Script in the model of the NPC and have this written in it:
local animTrack = Humanoid:LoadAnimation(GuitarStrumming) animTrack:Play()
Trying to figure out the rest of the prompts on the wiki still.

| Never mind. I found an easier source for animation the NPC. Now it works! I'm very proud that I actually figured something out today! :D |

Let me try that again
local animation = Instance.new("Animation") animation.AnimationId = "(AnimationURL)"
local animTrack = Humanoid:LoadAnimation(animation) animTrack:Play()
Found on the roblox wiki animations page.
Import { AaronHyperCubed } from 'roblox-users'; |
