Spirited Away and other Ghibli films, I don't want else is recommended as I only seen that and Mononoke as a kid and I rewatched SA as an adult, also Grave of the Fireflies sounds like a good Ghibli anime which I plan to see sometime whenever.

Thank you all for the suggestions. I'll be sure to check each one out.
"Spirited Away and other Ghibli films" I absolutely love Studio Ghibli and their movies. Grave of the Fireflies is pretty good, though not the tearjerker I was expecting. I'd suggest anything by Makoto Shinkai if you enjoy Ghibli. Your Name is their most recent movie. |

"Grave of the Fireflies is pretty good, though not the tearjerker I was expecting." Yeah, I've got that feeling with live-action filmmaker Kurosawa's Ikiru, I was expecting something tearjerker gushing but it's just simply sad. Non-sad pieces of media with a sad scene seem to make me more sad feeling such as Adventure Time, Steven Universe, and Psychonauts.

I agree. I think it's mainly because those scenes are so few and far between. When they do happen, it's much more meaningful. |
