The game revolves an office worker in a skyscraper on the coast of an unknown country, who is on the job at floor 20 out of 30 when a 8.2 magnitude earthquake hits off the coast. Due to the skyscraper's lack of adaptation to such occurrences, you have to make your way down to ground level to escape possible death. While doing so, debris will sometimes block typical pathways and force the player to improvise. Three floors down, word reaches you via a co-worker ### ### who informs you that a tsunami will hit the building in just minutes, causing immediate structural failure. However, an evacuation helicopter is at the top of the building, awaiting for any survivors. You will have to then go up, floor by floor, before the time runs out, dodging debris. At points you will have to climb up to other floors, entering via holes created within them.
The given scenarios should be unique, and some ideas include: - When going up or down stairs via a stairwell, some of the stairs may creak. If they do not collapse, they will if the player steps on them again. Same may apply to walls or weak spots on floors. - Due to a helicopter having limited space, some co-workers may go AWOL and try to kill you with different improvised weapons or methods. You will have to counter or avoid them to survive. (you may also have to outrun them if needed, before they reach the helicopter) - A floor may cave in, and give no room to go around or go to the next floor, which may require you to create a hole in the wall with, say a chair or a sharp object, and go around. - If the entrance to a stairwell is blocked, you may have to intentionally cave in a part of the higher floor, and climb up that way. This would take longer, due to the amount of time it would take to cause a large piece of the floor to cave in. - You may meet fellow co-workers, who are clueless or injured. You can have a choice to help them or abandon them for your own good.
NOTES: - This game is singleplayer. - However, a multiplayer version is possible. Each player would start on floor 20 and have to follow the main scenario, and can team up to escape together or solve certain scenarios together. Most players will not make it into the helicopter due to, said again, limited space.
Any opinions? This idea is open for anyone to use. |
