(Here's an amateur attempt at creating a Nation RP.)
The year is 1920, 2 years after a new age was born out of steel, guns, and blood. Europe had been devastated by the war that claimed the lives of 17 million people. The age of monarchs and empires had ended, ushering in an age of democracy, freedom, and liberty. The Central Powers had been partitioned, split, humiliated, and disgraced. Meanwhile, the Entente were victorious, hailed as heroes, carved out Europe and its future, and created the League of Nations, an organization created to maintain world peace. The ways of war had also been changed forever, with tanks, planes, and new strategies taking the helm from that of the 19th century. Peace was achieved, but it would it last?
Rules: -All ROBLOX rules apply. -1 year is equivalent to 4 pages, so 1 page = 3 months. -Do not be overpowered. You can't get 100,000 troops from London to Madagascar in a week. -Be realistic. No modern-day weapons, since this is 1920. -I will conduct League of Nations conferences and peace treaty conferences. -No admins except for me.

My only criticism of this RP is that the rules do not specify what nations we can use. Real nations only? Fusion nations allowed? Fictional nations as long as they are within the timespan allowed?
Otherwise, good RP for a new person. It might be successful depending how many people are interested in this and how long they are interested. I will consider joining. |

(Wouldn't the politics section sort of merge with the government section?)
~German Weimar Republic~
[Government/Politics]
The new German government was always in a sorry state, but never so much so as it is now. As a result of this, there was always paranoia among the ruling bodies, but now, you couldn't blame them for being paranoid. The voices of right-wing, autocratic, monarchist, militarist circles, as well as left-wing communist revolutionaries, have been growing louder, especially after the recent socialist victory in the Russian civil war. As of yet, there has been nothing overly threatening, but the German people are exhausted and on edge.
[Military]
On top of this, the Reichswehr shows signs of disloyalty to the new democratic republic, as if they would only defend if it was in their interest. Though currently surprisingly large and in quite good shape, despite the Treaty of Versailles dramatically butchering it, there are still internal struggles- defence minister Gustav Noske orders the disbandment of two of the most powerful Freikorps, the Marinebrigade Loewenfeld and Marinebrigade Ehrhardt. Its commander, Hermann Ehrhardt, declares that the units will not dissolve.
[International]
The Germans desperately continue their attempts to pay their war reparations to the Allies. though this continues to prove difficult. With their economy still recovering from the Allied Blockade of the North Sea in the Great War and the loss of their colonies, they have also lost much of their pre-war industrial exports and loss of supplies in raw materials as a result of the war and the Treaty- making it difficult to pay the reparations and follow the demands of the Treaty.
[Domestic]
Unemployment rises alarmingly, as well as inflation- war veterans not able to rejoin the military due to the imposed sanctions have no choice but to resort to low-paying jobs or even to begging on the streets. The German people feel humiliated, and suddenly jealous at the new technology that other nations appear to be producing, such as the USSR's new bomber practice and France's request for importation.
Though their military may be very restricted, and though they are not allowed to have an Air Force, this does not stop them from research. Looking at older models and how to improve and adapt them for more modern use, as well as looking to improve their outdated guns, private research in military technology begins- though with the abysmal economy, it's a very big stretch to be able to continually afford this kind of research. |
