Hi, does anyone know how games like Miner's Haven saves a player's items and their positions?

serialize and compile your object into a string/table.

If you're saving the pre-made items then you don't need to store properties other than the position if they're customizable. Just save each string or ID that is assigned to each object along with the position inside a table.

this is an example of how i save mine i make sure to leave all un-used fields blank and use shortcut names to make it as small as possible (without using arrays)

| if its at 0,0,0 it removes position and whatever axis that are 0 are also removed |

thats due to the order of dictionaries in lua when i called JSONEncode it did that |
