| @flex Get a music degree. You'll get hired more often, and it gives you the opportunity to do other stuff if you don't like it because you have a degree. Honestly though- just go to college, have fun, be done with it, and then do what you love in life. Then go get ####### and have the real life begin. Then again... maybe life doesn't start until we all go to heaven. Either way, enjoy it. You've only got so many years of it. I'd rather go out having fun than go out miserable over a office job lol. |

from my experience nobody gets a decent job. you get some garbage office job and even if it's not an office job you're still working as a slave to the system you just accept because you don't know any better :P

"both my parents went to college and aren't working in positions they like because they aren't capable of finding anything else due to the fact employers prefer people who have experience working instead of being in school."
that's why u take APs and Honors so you can get into the good colleges
big companies tend to go to the good colleges to get interns
internship = work experience and most graduates end up working at the place they interned at |

id prefer not to go to college as it's a waste of my parents' money, my money, my time, and my effort, when i could be going to a trade school for music and learn something i want to learn, and advance my music career.
meanwhile all of these "intelligent" people think they're gonna do anything and going to college means something
like congratulations, you were able to endure a bunch of biased and irrelevant material for a few more years than a high school student did XD

| Be a hippy and #### ### ### #### then. Then you won't be a slave.:3 Seriously though. My mom knew some hippie in high school who was really smart... got the highest SAT score and principal had to take a picture with him and was super annoyed by it. He went off to college, graduated, then decided he didn't want to be a slave to society so now #### ###### ## # ###### somewhere in Vietnam, lol!!! My 8th grade Spanish teacher almost got fired for apparent ###### ############## now lives in Michigan doing god knows what, and is traveling all the time. I have no clue how he gets the money to do so, but he does. I follow him on Instagram and he's in Columbia right now. |

i'm sorry that your parents were studying the wrong majors
they were probably arts students huh? that's why you're supposed to go the STEM route if you really want to succeed.

Don't force words into my mouth.
Doing something for money does NOT imply that you dislike what you do. You are making the wrong assumption that just because you wish to make money or you are making a lot of money means that you dislike your job. Sure there are people like that but not everyone.
You are trying to bring this conversation into something along the lines of "oh go after your dreams and enjoy what you do if it makes you happy". That's not what I'm focusing on. I mentioned flexibility earlier. You can look up the statistics yourself and tell me the number of opportunities that community college graduates have versus those who graduate from better schools.
Money doesn't mean happiness, I agree. And if all you're trying to say is for people to go after their dreams and do what they love, then that's perfectly fine despite how cliched it is. There's plenty of people like you who believe they don't need to ruin their life with classes in order to be happy in the future, and sometimes, it works out. But there's misery and regret that comes with opportunities you could have had if you went to a better college from taking these classes.
In the end, know this: an "average" person will not have the some opportunities as an "honors/AP" person, but the "honors/AP" person always has the choices an average person does. Again, it's about flexibility, and if you aren't sure what makes you happy in life, that flexibility can go a long way. |

i didnt really take school seriously, but I wasn't stupid either to not care and get flunking grades. i put in little effort and that yielded a mediocre HS resume, nothing impressive to brag about.
i dont know what specific career in comp sci i want yet, but i can imagine ill realize it later down the line. im going to school for comp sci and because the subject intrigues me and i wanna learn about it. to me, i will make better use of my time by going to school to study comp sci than trying to teach all of it to myself. some people have that capacity and others dont. its a self conscious decision i make to go to school, just like you are by choosing not to and pursuing your career goals in different methods.

yea ok rebel i see your point but it's not correct lol..
go to college, waste your life away, and become a very intelligent minion that knows how to take tests. the "opportunities" i may have had won't ever bother me because i'm smart enough to realize they mean nothing but extra stress, work, and in the end no different outcome :)

| ARKITEK LMAO are you really that upset at the truth? i know it's hard to grasp that you're wasting your life but if you wanna keep doing it go ahead you'll just realize later on how pathetic you really were. "I WENT TO COLLEGE!" GOOD FOR YOU LMFAO??? you literally are just learning things you dont care about because ###### ######## enough to not pursue anything. no matter what you argue that will be the case until you realize im right. |
