Though, I just do it for the thrills. |

It is because of the rise in viruses on windows and the fact that privacy is basically gone on windows (due to updates to allow spying). I found people have discovered you can install window software on linux.

It's really not as hard as people make it out to be. The majority of programs you use on Windows will have a free alternative on Linux.
If you want something like Windows, try Linux Mint. If you are open to trying something new, try Ubuntu. |

I don't want to use MS office or use visual studio. I just want an OS which is easy to use, does not track me and look very nice.

you CAN run windows programs on linux, but they won't necessarily run the way you want them to or run at all. games like roblox will refuse to work on linux, and a lot of games that were made for windows will lag a lot with a lot of graphical glitches or not run at all installing video drivers can also be a hard process for non-nerds, and linux is not easy to use if you are not good with linux

"I just want an OS which is easy to use, does not track me and look very nice." such an operating system does not exist. Windows and OS X are easy to use and look very nice, but they both spy on you. Linux does not track you, but not all distros look nice and it is not easy to use

| If you think windows is the only thing "spying" on you you're mistaken. Everything including your toaster can spy on you now. |

such distros do exist, but they will never be as easy as using windows. it's your choice if you want to switch to linux or continue using windows with good virus avoiding practices
