| I think it would be cool if you could make an animated GIF and turn it into a decal. You could have a small movie screen, but not need to script or upload hundreds of pictures. If that won't work you can still make a batch upload where you can select a folder of pictures and turn it into a model of decals. (So if you have let’s say 100 pictures in a small 10 second video you can get them all in at once and have easy access to them.) Please support, I think this is a very good idea for Roblox and would up its experience. |

| If you cannot do LUA, then i do not see how a GIF file would make it any better. |

I mean it takes forever to put all of my 300+ pictures of an awesome animation I made. The link for the animated GIF is: http://www.roblox.com/Stickfight-GIF-item?id=50041504 If you look at it... It doesnt do anything. I do not have the time to upload 300 pics and copy all of the links into a program. It may cause some lag but the size could be limited. If all of the decals were uploaded at once and put into a model a short lua script could write a sb script and copy it into the program. |

Ah, hi, I know this is very, very late, but roblox does have "some" support for GIF files, though it is tedious. Simply get the required still shots of your GIF and upload them to roblox as individual decals. Then place each decal on a block in studio and take the ID from the decal's Texture property. With these, simply throw them in a long list in a script (my demonstration uses codes that are most likely not real but you get the idea). Throw this script inside a part... the timing can be adjusted, but I'll leave that to you, also there are some issues I'd fix if it was for me, but it'd take a while to explain in here and I have faith in you; Good luck!! (might have errors since I typed it in here without testing anything, but I've done this kind of thing before, so it'll work with just a bit of tweaking if it doesn't already. Also might have messed up syntax, as i actually wrote it in here, not in an editor).
local list = {1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9} -- change to your IDs local base = "http://www.roblox.com/asset/?id=" local p = script.Parent local d = Instance.new("Decal",p) d.Face = "Front" -- I didn't test this, so change this if needed while true do for i=1,#list do wait() d.Texture = base..list[i] end end |

Although this would be a nice feature, there are two main reasons Roblox won't add this (yet):
1. It will lag. Alot.
2. You can already do this in Lua, a gif file is basiclly a picture with the animation code already integrated inside it. |

Wouldn't these GIFs all need to be moderated?
