Hello everyone,

I am no scripter nor builder, to put first things first. I have no experience within that realm, so bear with me.

But, I am a storyteller. I have taken college level classes, multiple lessons in general over the art of writing, and I feel confident in my ability to compose a fleshed out story. That’s where I belong in game design, I realized. At the time of realizing this, I looked across the forums, snatching any chance I had at helping people with ideas. But, as you can imagine, it eventually became fewer and fewer of people searching for ideas—rather seeking builders and the like. And I completely understand this! I respect builders, scripters, etc. in a high regard.

I feel, however, that it is time to give space for the storytellers. So I opened this forum for anyone to just lay out their ideas, advice, etc. Also, let me make it understandable! If you are here to simply be rude, troll, etc. I will not give you any notice and ignore you. I am not going to your level.

As well, if you have any group ideas perhaps, we can bend the rules a tiny bit: P

not a lot of people on roblox need ideas, as most of them are just making crappy tycoons or rps to get robux and fame from little kids

but anyways i hope you can find some people to work with dude

I totally agree, don't get me wrong. I have seen the gaming spectrum of Roblox today-- and frankly, am not satisfied. I still hope that there is some place for quality storytelling on this site, though how big that hope is, I am not aware :P. Anyways, thanks so much for the encouragement! Honestly means a lot, because frankly, I thought a lot of people were going to bash my post.

You should really get some developping skills to put that knowledge to good use.
No needs for a very complex game. If you have a good imagination, the building part is gonna come easily through time.

Let's be honest here.
Nobody is actively searching for a story writer.
One of the reasons has arleady been said (Tycoons, obbies and other BS that don't require a story)
Another is the people having a story in their game don't like being told what to do with theirs.
And yet another one is people starting a game already have one.

Your best chance is to learn and make a game yourself.

Like personally I enjoy making stories and interesting adventures but I am not the best scripter, which makes it hard to get my vision sometimes.

Y'all I understand. I mostly created this thread to give people the opportunity to just lay out some stuff, to start a conversation. But I get what you mean. There will most likely never be an active recruitment for storytellers, and I'm okay with that. It would actually sike me out if there was, honestly. It makes no sense, but still, I wanted to create a space for people to just chat.

Thanks so much for commenting, by the way. I appreciate the rational thought.

I really like stories that make me feel horrible for something I've done.
Like Spec Ops : The Line

And the ones that follow a logical event and you could tell there's a lot of deepness into the concept like LOZ: Majora's Mask
