Oilers fans to Flames fans in round 1 "excuses excuses you blew a lead don't whine about the refs or replay reviews"
Oilers fans in round 2 "we only blew a lead because of officiating and replay reviews"

| I feel like its towards Canadian teams but that they target one team at a time. I feel like if Edmonton was to get eliminated and Ottawa some how advances to the next round, the NHL would try to screw over Ottawa until all Canadian located teams are eliminated. |

| I find it hard to believe that the NHL isn't actually favoring ottawa though considering they're actually still in the playoffs |

| Have you seen Ottawa's attendance this year? They aren't even selling out games in the playoffs. Maybe you are on to something though. Maybe they target teams with poor attendance with the more "one sided" referees with the more one sided goal review crews to help that team advance to bring in more attendance and interest to those places. Cause if you think about it in Anaheim they have poor attendance too. |

Ottawa's attendance isn't helped by the fact that they have an absolutely huge arena located in the middle of a suburb. With a downtown arena they'd easily be selling out.
Edmonton's Northlands Coliseum was basically in the middle of nowhere and was only accessible by public transit unless you were enough of a masochist to actually drive there, and to this day I'm convinced that the only reason they sold out pretty much every game in the 2000s and 2010s was because the seating capacity was less than 17,000. |
