I'm gonna be doing research on values in the ROBLOX economy it may seem weird, boring or even nerdy but it's legit for the benefit of the community and researchers
i want a group of people to help me on the quest to finding algorithms or patterns that can automatically value an item
this will also be used on .rocks and im rly thriving into making this, so pls let me know if you want to get in on this
Looking for everyone who is willing and can help
this is being done to stop the bias from value changers or mainstream hate received towards them and be very efficient at most of the times |

it's very hard to put algorithms or anything in place to attempt to discern where the incredibly unstable and erratic roblox economy will go. unlike in the real world consumption isn't guaranteed or anything and a lot more like it.

well, ive heard of this thing called "recent average prices" it does determinate how often items sell for, thus giving it a decent and stable price on the item |

it would only work for stable items in terms of values
limiteds are determined the same way stocks r
not everythin is same demand so obvs there wudnt be an equation to get value of a hat xD

your going to need a lot of raw data + as there are many things that it won't be able to calculate the current system will probably be more accurate

@appie ya it would make sense for stable items
but think of everyone lowballing, think of the black market which would affect a hats value if it sold for rap when its actually just a stolen item
think of all the devs who just yolo n buy stuff
rblx economy is opposite of stable xD

the only way is valuing items from their RAP
that would mean low RAP items' values wouldnt hold their value, even if its just rlly rare or hard to get
it wont work.......... only on stable items or high demand items that u can actually calculate with
but in terms of an equation for every single items to determine value....... no
