When it's not an NPC, you can just call player:LoadCharacterAppearance(Instance hat), but whenever it IS an NPC, stuff can get tricky. You can't just parent the hat, or accessory, to the NPC because it won't automatically find the correct position. Anyone know how to properly position the hat (or accessory) on an NPC?

| If you parent it to the NPC, it does find the correct position. |

| Oh and by the way, if you think you've got it, try to load wings onto a NPC. ############################################################### = game.ServerStorage |

I work with NPCs all the time. It works fine for me.
My plugin that literally dresses NPCs like that also works. |

| That code has nothing to do with your problem. |

Hmm, yeah? Try the wings, dude.
This doesn't look like the right position to me.

Yeah it does. Try loading the wings on an NPC, or "copy and pasting" them into the NPC model. It doesn't work.

That doesn't work still... :/
It doesn't position some accessories correctly.

I think it only mispositions back accessories but idk. Idk why AddAccessory() method wouldn't work, play around with it?

Also thank you VERY much for that method. I did not know about it.
Gonna alert an admin that it doesn't position them right.

Are you taking about Hats or Accoutrements because those are two completely different things now. Parenting a Hat object to an NPC will put the part of the hat named Handle onto that NPC's head (whether it has to be named "Handle" or not I'm not sure) |

Otherwise this, which was already linked to you, is your solution: wiki.roblox.com/index.php?title=API:Class/Humanoid/AddAccessory |

| Don't annoy the Admins because it's probably your offset that's the issue, not an item directly from the Roblox catalog. |
