It depends on you, some people learn easily from the wiki so I would try that and see if it works better for you than videos.
I learned pretty much everything from videos until I understood how lua works and now I just use the wiki for specific functions or methods I need. |

in my opinion, the best way to learn RBXlua is by hanging out with experienced people. you can ask them simple questions, and from the answers you can get more questions, and then you can keep learning more and more stuff to a point you become experienced. its a simple language, really.

Honestly, I've used the wiki for all my two years of learning Lua.

It's all on the wiki. But if I don't understand the wording or the complete context the answer is usually from someone on this forum, youtube or Programming In Lua (online book).
#code --This validates my comment. |

The Roblox wiki isn't that good unless you want API crap but to actually teach you go to https : // www . lua . org Then go to the API At least that's what I'm doing :) |

1 hour in studio Split screen or have 2 monitors for videos/wiki and your code Practice syntax before ROBLOX objects
Next day spend 1 hour in studio manipulating roblox objects
Work your way through the wiki and videos, 1 hour a day

Dang, nice schedule. You'll be an insane programmer in no time!
My schedule:
3 - 4 hours of school, 1-3 hours of Lua, 4 - 5 hours of Javascript, HTML, and CSS. |

Mostly on free models, My first script was a transparency script, I got bored and I started messing around.
Rbx.Lua is like common sense
They use math.ceil = rooftop math.floor = floor and other obvious things |

There's no such thing called RBX Lua you must learn the Actual "Lua" then you can use lua with the Rbx Commands and keywords if you wanna learn the basics and get a simple understanding go to peasfactoryies Yt channel
glad to help |

szkiller generally doesn't know what they are talking about when they post in this forum
@OP You should look through this: https://forum.roblox.com/Forum/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=172040785 It outlines some good resources to help you get started |

"There's no such thing called RBX Lua you must learn the Actual "Lua"" RBX.Lua is a thing, it's based on Lua 5.1 but with various changes plus platform specific API.

i mean for example when you go work on new studios for example Love2d aren't there different commands or keywords? that's what i am talking about. like roblox has something called UserSettings() that't not there in the real Lua all i am saying is learning the actual Lua before using it in a studio cause results might look like this
Hey How do i print all my strings to uppercase? is there a roblox keyword or function?
Hint string.len()
all i am saying here is just learn the actual Lua then use it for any studio just to make you'r life easier |
