i don't wanna get into it but my home life is not great and as a result i struggle with depression and i feel very stuck in my current situation
i'm 1 of 2 working members of my family, had to drop out of high school to work, and have been homeless twice within the last 6 months
the only friend i have to share my problems and everything with lives in texas
she is absolutely the most important thing in my whole life and i'm planning on moving from florida to texas alone to just be with her and get a whole new start
i've never had much so losing all my material possessions doesn't matter to me
advice pls |

That sounds pretty bad. Doesn't seem like you want to die that bad, you've made it this far so you'r doing something right.

well if you can plan to find new employment in texas that'd be a good start
depends on the person but its not a terrible idea

here's what i would do
1. try to solve what's causing the problem in your home life. you may feel stuck, but you should feel comfortable talking to people you live with and who (i'm assuming) raised you. try to get them to work it out, or help solve it.
2. if that doesn't work, then see if you leaving would cause more of a problem. since u are 1 of the 2 people working, would it cause even more of a financial burden on them, or would it help the situation if u decided to move
3. if u decide to stay, try to do step 1 again. if u decide to move, make sure to contact that friend, talk through it, make sure you and her get along with anything that comes with moving in. paying rent, or whatever other things u might come across that you haven't discussed with them before
4. if u plan on going to college, then make sure theres a college nearby where they live so u don't have to get a dorm.
5. make sure u will be able to find a somewhat stable job in your new living area
6. realize this is a life changing decision but it also could be the start of something new

Trust me, it would be worth it if you aren't happy with your current life.
I was living in a rural mountain town for a couple years and was done with it, I went against my mom when I was 17 and moved back to my home city and went to a different school, the only reason she gave in and allowed me to leave was because I was about to turn 18. She kept telling me that it's insane and a horrible decision.
Now she thinks the decision was right and my life has improved 100x since then. |

| 1 through 3. it's a very complex situation that we've tried to resolve for years to no avail 4. there is + apartments are really close, really cheap, and almost always available. i've had this idea for months and check apartment listings in the area frequently ## ## ###### 6. honestly nothing could be worse than my current situation. there is genuinely nothing to lose and i'm very excited for it |

Don't buy a home, rent one. Don't put all your money on the housing market, instead, split it into separate markets. If one goes down, it won't be taking all your money with it.
Also, if you want to move to a new place to get a new job, you will be unable due to the fact that you are permanently locked to that house.
