So, I can script. I'm neither amazing nor trash. I can make a great game, I just don't have the motivation.
How do you guys get motivation to continue on one project? I almost always lose interest in mine after a week... |

tbh thats why you should work with friends, they can motivate you and having someone to talk to lessens the dullness of programming for hours

I used to have friends that knew how to script (quite a few, and pretty well) but that was around 2012 or so. I'm pretty sure they all are either inactive or have quit.

Oh, in real life? Hell no, I definitely don't have any friends in real life that would consider touching or looking at code for a second.

| Just play a bunch of script heavy games on ROBLOX and that might inspire you. |

I break my game into parts, as obviously most of us do. But I do it so that I can look forward to finishing each part, and then playing what I have. That makes me look forward to the completion of more components, thus motivating me.
You also have to really want your game to be finished. Keep thinking about what you can add, and how to make it awesome. |

Where I live, playing ROBLOX is looked down upon.
And I guess being a developer would make it worse... |

I'm a lazy and unmotivated person. I have absolutely no desire to create anything and foruming is pretty much my only use of my programming knowledge. It's pretty sad.

I have a ton of motivation. I just can't seem to channel it into developing.
Cross country and Track are different stories... |

the longest i've worked on something was a month or so, the more you repeat something the less interesting it becomes
