Use the Caesar Cipher, kiddies, it is 3 letters back from each letter. For example, if I am correct the first letter is H, and I might keep trying to decode.

Close, but not exactly 3 letters apart from each other. This Caesar cipher uses [] letters apart from each other. If the first word makes sense, the same pattern continues out for the entire riddle. |

Solved, truely clever to push it to (number removed)
Julius Caesar was a roman general and was governor of Gaul after his conquests. Once ousting everyone else, he returned to Rome and assumed the role of dictator. No one, except the senate, challenged his authority. He was murdered.
