And here we have it - a medieval fantasy/wild western themed co-operative roleplay featuring action, boundless RNG, and my favorite: the random attribute system. Are you ready to join?
_________________________
[[BACKSTORY]] In the midst of the wild, wild wastes, travelers have often passed by a dwarven mining town known as Blackroot. Their main thing is mining all sorts of metals as well as the materials that allow people to make guns and some of the more typical weapons people are armed with. Naturally, this means most of the settlers get their share of the weapons as well, and the mayor can say with confidence that there have been no bandits or wild Kobold attacks on the town for a long time.
Until now, of course.
You are part of a group of bandits & mercenaries led under a single player, with the simple goal of dominating Blackroot and its trade completely and utterly. The risks are high, and not everyone is expected to make it alive. But for almost all of you, this is your one chance to finally make it big and become one of the most feared gangs in the realms.
Let's get started, shall we?
[[ACTIONS & COMBAT]] Contrary to other RPs and dicers, you don't really have a skill factor here. You don't have stats, but you do have gold and health (not shown). The outcome of all actions is decided by an unmodified twenty-sided die which I roll (roll a 1, you fail big time. roll a 20, it was amazing), so if something good happens it's not because you said so, it's because you had a good enough roll to do it. If you roll well, people will think you are skilled, and vice versa. Your actions are not limited to your abilities and weapons. You can also perform a 'roleplay action', which is something you can't normally do. It is less likely to succeed, but allows you to perform more creative and even ridiculous actions that could succeed or at the very least have interesting results.
Your gold can be spent at character creation to purchase extra items that will be useful in combat, such as a better weapon, protection, and even a companion who fights alongside you. Remaining gold can potentially be used for roleplay, but there will be no other shops as you simply gain treasures at the end of each encounter. Your health is an invisible 'stat' that determines how much punishment you can take in battle before you're knocked out. You can get up from unconsciousness, but getting knocked out multiple times will eventually get you killed.
[[RULES]] Now, I don't really bother with rules too much, since I think there isn't much to this section. It's pretty simple. Common sense and an age-friendly environment are key. Death and "Mary/Gary dudes" will be decided by fate. If there's anything else that needs to come up, I will mention it, but hopefully I won't have to. Now go on and have fun creating your character!
[[RACES]] In the Unforgotten Realms, the most basic thing every character will have is a race and a subrace. They all have unique benefits and may prove interesting for combat as well as roleplay. There are three available races and nine available subraces. Consider your options below:
---GNOMES are short, crafty fellows, at around 3 feet tall. They have a more treasure oriented build, and start with 4 Treasures and a veto for one of them. -KEENS are the shortest gnomes at 2-3 feet, but they make up for this with an extra Anytime and the ability to use anyone's Treasure abilities. -OKAGNOMA gnomes prefer skills after all, and have the ability to teach one of their class abilities to another player at any time. -SCARRED gnomes really prefer a treasure build and get 2 extra Treasures and one more veto. ---KOBOLDS have gray or brown rocky fur and fangs, and stand at around 4-5 feet tall. They always roll two dice when performing actions, taking higher rolls unless a 1 appears. -TRITON GROUND kobolds are ready for battle, starting with 2 Treasure weapons which they may keep or give to anyone. -SEASWAGGER kobolds gain a bonus action whenever a teammate critically fails, and they can veto 1 attribute from anyone. The more there are, the safer you can be with attributes. -STONEQUISITOR kobolds have doubled gold from their class and can buy a copy of any treasure their allies have. ---PORCS ('pig orcs') are big, pink, and bulky, usually a good 5-7 feet. They are the only race that doesn't seem to have a noticeable age, but they can definitely possess human traits like hair and such. -GRAVEHOOF porcs have an extra move, sadly I don't know how to record movement in a text roleplay so I'll give you a little freedom with dodging. -BONE TUSK porcs can have the Ageless attribute, and summon a Bone Minion whenever casting a spell, though they aren't quite as robust. -BLACK BOAR porcs are the biggest and tankiest, at 8-10 feet, and can't ever be knocked around by anything.
[[CLASSES]] Your character will need to have a class which they have been trained and fully realized as. Whichever class you pick will start with 6 class abilities, some gold, class-specific gear, and a different method of taking on the opposition. No more than two people can have the same class. Make sure to read the cards carefully before deciding!
-RANGERS are highly mobile archers who use their bow abilities to shoot enemies all the way from China. -BARDS are jacks of all trades, supporting their team through songs and stories. They can use the class abilities of their team mates. -BERSERKERS are highly aggressive warriors who can Bearserk and keep on fighting even with no health left, as long as their whole team is up. -SPELLSLINGERS are powerful gunfighters who can turn the tables with their deadly revolvers. Only one player can be a Spellslinger. -SWASHBUCKLERS use a mix of offensive sword abilities and supportive skills to gain the upper hand in battle. -B(2 Os)TY RAIDERS give their treasures a better purpose in battle, and are always finding new ones to use. -WITCHES are arcane spellcasters who focus on damage, and use their teleportation to great effect. -SORCERERS use basic magic to get the job done, and their role is to support their team and make sure the enemy is at a disadvantage.
[[ATTRIBUTES]] Attributes are randomly drawn traits that may dramatically affect your character. They range from amazing to terrible, and can affect almost anything (even your race), but allow you to create a unique character, potentially one you would've never made otherwise. With that said, you will have to decide whether you want one or two attributes now, and see if the genetic lottery is kind to you.

| If you are at all interested, but you're not sure if you want to make a character or don't have enough time right now, the simplest thing to do is to get a good idea of what you might be with the first character sheet. You can decide your race, class, and whether you want one or two attributes in a very short time. |

Cool, cool. Without more than a couple people participating, though, sticking here would be kinda tough to do. With that said, you probably have a good idea of my backup plan now.
At least I get to activate the gene pool now. Here's your attribute: Famous: Almost everyone knows who you are. The Game Master and players can make up things about your character that become facts.
That's a pretty fun roleplay attribute to get, means you'll have to make part of your character's backstory about their fame and why everyone knows them. You can always take another if you want! |

No, but if your friends say you did then it's definitely true. /s
You can say whatever you like, but depending on how impossible it could've been it's not going to be true, it'll probably just come off as tall tales and exaggeration. Other players can choose to play nice with the attribute and say cool things about you, or they could go all out saying the most ridiculous stuff and you have to go with it.
A famous Kobold in a bandit gang. That's definitely an interesting one, and I wonder what that second attribute would've been. |

Long title, but nice start.

The fact that the citizens having guns has reduced crime at all is outstanding, take a look at USA, it just doesn't work.
"Until now, of course."
Spoke to soon

Does this town have no security? Or is it just citizen protection like that one thing in America where the citizens are police. Street Watch! That's it.

Will the dude who legit just knocked you out cold just wait for you to get up or am I missing something?

"---GNOMES are short, crafty fellows, at around 3 feet tall. They have a more treasure oriented build, and start with 4 Treasures and a veto for one of them."
HEY NOW YOUR A KEEMSTAR!
"-KEENS are the shortest gnomes at 2-3 feet, but they make up for this with an extra Anytime and the ability to use anyone's Treasure abilities."
The name is closer to Keem then I like it to be.
"-OKAGNOMA gnomes prefer skills after all, and have the ability to teach one of their class abilities to another player at any time."
Sharing the power of salt one player at a time - Keem gnome
"-SCARRED gnomes really prefer a treasure build and get 2 extra Treasures and one more veto."
Famous Keem with income
"---KOBOLDS have gray or brown rocky fur and fangs, and stand at around 4-5 feet tall. They always roll two dice when performing actions, taking higher rolls unless a 1 appears."
A tall Kobold, or just an entirely new specie I guess.
-TRITON GROUND kobolds are ready for battle, starting with 2 Treasure weapons which they may keep or give to anyone. -SEASWAGGER kobolds gain a bonus action whenever a teammate critically fails, and they can veto 1 attribute from anyone. How dare you dedicate a whole race to my brother?!

When I hear this I think of that guy from the Stick of Truth THE BARD! DISABLED BUT STILL IN IT!
"-BERSERKERS are highly aggressive warriors who can Bearserk and keep on fighting even with no health left, as long as their whole team is up."
I remember this guy from old D&D
"-SPELLSLINGERS are powerful gunfighters who can turn the tables with their deadly revolvers. Only one player can be a Spellslinger."
Calling shots on this dude right now.

ARE YEE READY KIDS!?

Okay, I gotta go to sleep so I'll give you the attributes real quick... oh boy Chatterbox: You speak way to much about insignificant things. You are immune to silence and anti magic abilities. Insane: You are demented and twisted to your core. Apon rolling a Critical Failure, you must play Anti-Party during the next round of combat. You're insane. Nice.
And yeah I guess I'll do weapons real quick before I turn in for the night. You got a Dulled Vorpal Slayer and an Archmage Staff. |

Apperance: Pale skin and stands at an average of 5'4. Hazel eyes, quite skinny. Wears a black robe with white and gold emroidments. Brown Leather jeans. The robe also has a greyish hood that goes to cover the top half of his face hiding his gruffy black hair.
Backstory: Anteo lived a quite normal life considering the situations going on in the world, both his parents were still together, surprisingly enough. He went through school getting bullied here and there like any other student. He ended up failing everything in the end and turned to being part of a gang to make some easy cash robbing people here and there.

I'm going to wake up for 1 minute and draw the attribute. It is Strong: Your character has beefy muscles and is naturally athletic. And then it says you deal this much with attacks, which is basically the highest you can do with any weapon acquired at character creation. It's not a bad one, but you can just ask Bolram (who has no spells) to give you the staff he got and now you can never miss with spells.
This means you get to keep the attribute veto and maybe LeBlaster over there wants to try his luck at getting another one. |

Okay. Here goes, my dude: Follower of the Light: You are a follower of the Dragon Aspect Ouro'ras. You gain the Paladin Class in addition to your Class.
Good job, you managed to get a class that wasn't in this campaign. Not only does that attribute make you much sturdier, you get to pray to use any class ability as well! And you still have your one attribute veto. |
