I've literally seen like eighty MoveTo() questions for the past few days that make no sense at all. Please learn what MoveTo() does. Please.

Why can't people just check 3 pages to see if someone else's got their problem.

moveto moves a model to a location and checks for occlusion

the humanoid version makes them walk to point

Could you actually test :MoveTo() with a model with a humanoid before spouting out random statements?

I literally just tested it and it teleported them; they didn't WalkToPoint.

MoveTo() is a function not a property. "idiot lol"

And it's not ever a property of Humanoid.

Where are you getting this misinformation from?

The fact that you want to be right so you continue to say that something is true when it's not?

you are very dumb lmao

print( humanoid.MoveTo )
i am indexing the function instead of calling it or using method call, that doesnt mean it is a property, learn about lua before trying to act like u know it all

and if you use character.humanoid:MoveTo( location / part ) it will make them walk to that location instead of using character:MoveTo( location / part )

you cant tell the difference between a humanoid and an npc

Well, when I said ":MoveTo()" and that I tested it on an NPC with a humanoid, you said you have to use "Humanoid.MoveTo" to move it.

I've learned enough about lua and common sense to realize that you're the one that's wrong here.

Just admit it bud, we both know you're wrong.

"i'm not wrong idiot"

That was until you tried to say you were indexing the function.

But that didn't work, you still were wrong in the first place.

And when I said you have to use Humanoid.MoveTo it means you have to use the specified function (which is in the humanoid)

you can still use humanoid.MoveTo( humanoid, argument ) or humanoid:MoveTo( argument )
you are the only one dumb enough to not admit your failure

"you cant tell the difference between a humanoid and an npc"

I just showed that I did with the previous reply "a model with a humanoid"

Any character has the ClassName of a Model.

I've tried both character.Humanoid:MoveTo(workspace.Part.Position) AND character.Humanoid:MoveTo(workspace.Part) and they didn't walk or teleport to it.

Are you sure you know what you're talking about?

Speaking of which, you tried to tell me to learn lua when none of the things you stated worked.

(actually MoveTo is a method if anything)

Wunder isn't dumb, stop trying to make him look bad

Also, Humanoid:MoveTo is different versus Model:MoveTo.

Also, neither of the MoveTo's accept a part as a parameter, only a Vector3.

Now you're stealing my insults? Directly after I say that you won't admit you're wrong you say "not admit your failure" The only thing I'm failing at is understanding the way humanoid.MoveTo and humanoid:MoveTo() are extinguished between each other. You didn't have to get butthurt when I said you were wrong, you could've just said I was wrong and proved that I was wrong in one thread. Instead, you chose to make it as confusing as possible for me to understand. You're right when it comes to the humanoid thing, but not right when it comes to saying "i was indexing the function" when you were obviously trying to call the function as ################## ### haven't admitted that you failed at misinterpreting what :MoveTo() actually does. Holy God you need help with comprehension.

after I accused him of stealing my insults he resorts to using medieval insults

"peabrain child"

Again you lack the objectivity to realize that you're the one that made things confusing for me, so therefore you're the "peabrain child". And also you're a child too, you can't leave yourself out.

no you are just stupid

run this in the console

print( game.Destroy )

it is indexing the function, not calling it

so it shows you what function to use

Wunder started off by saying "idiot" so I blame him (although I'm no better).
But really this argument is just miscommunication and very funny to read.

I feel like you make things confusing for people during flamewars you cause so when they misinterpret something you can call them an idiot.

and still you act like i am stupid when u r the one who acted like there was no difference and spent the whole time arguing about something that was wrong, u have no leverage here, just quit

also humanoid.MoveTo accepts a part as a parameter
