If you care enough, then read on. If you don't care about my hiatus, you're welcome to click off the thread.
I'm taking a little break for...an indefinite quantity of time. I cannot guarantee a specific time, but I will be away. I feel it's healthy to separate oneself from something for a while since absence makes the heart grow fonder.
I will forum for a short while, don't misconstrue...But immediately thereafter, the hiatus will commence. |

@Zlash
I realize the immense amount of effort this departure will require but am willing to make that effort if it means a growing passion to forum. |

"see ya, have a nice time"
I cannot promise that since I am not prescient, but I will make sure to have the best time I can while absent. |

| A hiatus is a pause or gap in a sequence, series, or process. The series in question is my long series of consecutive posting and the pause being this hiatus. |

I hypothesize that you'll achieve it at a much earlier time than that at your current rate. By the way, congratulations on the 1,000. |

Do you take hiatuses with other things that you like in some way as well?
Also I hope that you enjoy the time that you spend away from the forums during this hiatus.
It is very interesting seeing your posts due to their verbosity which I have come to appreciate so it is mildly unfortunate to see you take a hiatus but alas regeneration is almost necessary to prevent monotony. |

Not really. This is a new thing that I'm putting on trial.
Thanks. I hope to have a great time away as well.
Indeed. A brand functions only for a limited duration before becoming essentially tedious. |

I may consider doing the same with some other things. In fact, I already have tried applying this type of policy with music and it has worked wonderfully. I would not listen to a song for 6 months and upon re-listening it would sound around as good if not better than it sounded when I started listening. |

| I have also been using this time before I leave to reflect on how much I've changed retrospectively. I've changed the most as a person in these 5 or 6 consecutive months than in any other period in my entire lifetime. That fact alone is amazing to meditate on. |

That occurs with me too. I listen to one song and then another song a slew of times and when I listen to the song I initially listened to, it feels like it's quality has increased. |

Retrospection is one of our most useful tools.
In a way, it is truly what makes us malleable mentally so to speak. We are able to work with our minds like clay in a way. Some of us more than others.
How did you change exactly? |

Does the opposite sometimes happen as well though?
Sometimes it feels like a song will never reach the glory it was once at and it can sometimes become worse as my taste in music slightly changes.
Although it has been years since I've had a drastic change in taste of music. I've always liked EDM and especially more obscure subgenres of it. |

The biggest change I can think of is the value of life. I personally feel a hereafter removes the value in the only life we're sure to get. If you live life like this is it, your life becomes infinitely more fulfilling as you want this only chance to be the best and most fulfilling it can be.
Since I personally do not believe in a hereafter, I value life so much more. I think about that all of the time. Since this life is all we get, I feel the most motivated to make a change in the world. So that, while I may be deceased, the legacy I've made lives on. I'm dead, but alive.
I also value knowledge quite a lot more. I used to never mention such a topic. Now, I'm relatively open about my affinity for knowledge. My knowledge has changed my view on life drastically and I have it to thank. |

It's kind of peculiar. Some moments I don't like a song much and the next I love it. But it generally does not happen. |
