In this guide we will cover the basics of training in the Russian Military. If you have experience in any other military groups, some of this will look familiar.
Basic Russian knowledge: Da = Yes Nyet = No Spasibo = Thank you Privyet = Hello Goodbye = Do svidaniya Bye = Poka Good Morning = Dobroe utro Good Afternoon = Dobry den Good Evening = Dobry Vecher
You will not be required to learn all of this, just the basics.
[Uniform Regulations]
Your first duty when you enter any base of the Soviet military is to find your proper uniform and headgear. This applies to both officers AND enlisted personnel.
Uniform for recruits of the Army: For the basic recruits of the Russian army (This will apply to the majority of you reading this), they will wear the Battle uniform of their rank, and the beige colored cap. If an instructor orders you to get on a battle helmet for a combat situation, you will remove the cap and get on a battle helmet. If there is a special event or occasion, in which you would need to wear the formal uniform, you may wear the formal uniform cap.
Uniform for personnel of the air force: Those in the air force may wear their battle uniform for combat and non-combat occasions. In terms of headgear, you may wear the beige colored cap for non-combat situations, and the Pilot helmet for combat situations, or when piloting your aircraft.
Uniform for personnel of the Navy: Personnel of the Navy may wear the uniform that suites their rank in the Navy. You may also wear the Soviet naval cap provided to you at all places concerning the navy.
Uniform for personnel of the Military Police: Personnel of the military police will wear their MP uniform, as well as the beige colored cap.
Uniform for officers: Officers of the Russian Military must wear the uniform of their rank, and the officer cap, no exceptions.
Failure to wear the proper uniform will result in a warning issued by the Military Police. If you continue to not comply, this will result in a demotion, issued by the high command.
[Etiquette of a Soviet Soldier]
Now, by becoming a recruit in the Russian Military, you must adopt an etiquette of both respect and discipline.
Address all those of the rank of lieutenant as "Ser". [Example] Officer: Are you a recruit? Recruit: Da, Ser!
"Da, ser" is used whenever you are required to say "Yes, sir". If you want to say "No, sir", simply say "Nyet, ser".
Respect towards your leaders is required at all times, do not argue or debate with a higher rank, it could get you demoted. If you feel a higher rank is doing something incorrectly, simply speak to him or her after the event or training is over with.
Address all those under the rank of Lieutenant by their rank. [Example] Sergeant: Are you a recruit? Recruit: Da, Sergeant!
Failure to comply with proper etiquette during training will result in a warning from the Military Police. If continued, will result in a demotion or exile.
[Admin Abuse]
The abuse of admin powers is not tolerated by any branch of the Russian military. Depending on the degree of abuse, you could get anything from a warning to an exile issued by the high command.
Examples of admin abuse: -Gearing yourself with gear obviously not appropriate for training -Inserting models without permission -Godding yourself during raids -Giving yourself all unauthorized -The excessive use of :m [:m is only to be used when expressing a very urgent message, for most cases, use :m]
There are also more obvious examples of admin abuse that are not listen above, for instance using :Kill all, or :ban all. So please, use common sense when using admin.
[Joining or Switching Divisions] Most divisions require a tryout to join, so keep an eye out for the shout, and if you don't see one in a while, ask the marshal of that divisions, or someone who is in the high command of that division when the next tryout will be.
Do not ask the Premier to accept you into a division if you passed the tryout, only the host of that tryout or the marshal of that division will accept you.
If you wish to switch divisions, you must obtain permission from the division commander, or someone in the high command of that division. If you are caught switching divisons unauthorized, you will be banned from all divisions.
You may be in more than one division, but may not serve in the high command of more than one division.
[Grammar] Grammar is an absolute must for all personnel above the rank of Lieutenant. If caught not using grammar, a warning will be issued by the Military Police. If repeatedly caught not using grammar, a test will be issued by the military police, and if you either do not agree to take the test, or fail, you will be relieved to the rank of Sergeant.
However, all soldiers, no matter what rank are encouraged to use grammar. During trainings, grammar is absolutely mandatory. Safechat is also not permitted, and you can turn it off by changing your age on your account.
[Retiring from the Russian Military]
If you wish to retire from the Russian Military, you may, but first MUST obtain permission from the high command. Once you are approved by the high command to retire, you are free to leave the Russian Military, and will be treated in all Russian Military bases as a honorable Retiree of the Russian forces.
If you leave without permission, you will be charged with abandoning duties, and you will be banned from all Russian bases.
