| So the wiki for coding is not very clear to me. I wish they told you how the code worked and what different parts of code means so you can structure your own games. instead they just tell you how to do certain things with code and don't even tell you what your doing. My idea is to make a interactive roblox game and you go through the levels and learn code. In this interactive game you are building a basic game. You will Be shown code and taught what certain functions are on each level. Now you must take what they thought you and apply it to your basic game to move on to the next level. For instance, you might have to create a spawn. So the game will tell you "hey this function is to insert a block" and you must figure out a way to apply that function and make the spawn work. By the end of the game you know everything about coding on roblox. This is because i read the coding wiki, it it just showed how to make a door or a night cycle and didn't tell you what each function means and why it works. You might call me stupid and this is a bad idea. This could really boost roblox in general so more people play on roblox because of the great games. |

| If you're making that game, get ready for a year or two of work, maybe more. |

Fine.
Perhaps I should resume my project from 2013. It seems like it would help quite a bit.
However, it is VERY important to learn how to read the wiki, and documentation in general. Check out the Object Browser article and see if it makes sense to you. :) |

| the wiki is superior to the object browser, I always use the wiki for documentation because it's more thorough |

I rewrote the Object Browser page back in like 2013. The page teaches you how to read the documentation in the OB.
Best part is, the wiki uses the same documentation principles as the OB; it's just in a slightly different visual format. |

it's more than just a different visual format - the wiki has more information
take ChildAdded, for example
the object browser say:
event ChildAdded (instance child)
which is fine, but it doesn't tell you what ChildAdded does
the wiki does tell you though:
"Description: Fires when a child is added to the object."
which is why i prefer the wiki to the object browser obviously childadded is pretty self explanatory, but for events, methods, or properties that aren't so self-explanatory, a description is nice |

| AgentFireFox, i do respect your work. With all do respect, i can say that their is a lot of younger kids on this websites. Its a little harder for people to rap their heads around coding, that is why we need this. |

I still don't understand how people don't understand the wiki. If you are competent enough to read, then you should be able to understand what they are saying. It's like any other wiki like c++ or python. Read, be patient, and understand it. They even give you examples of how the code works. There are even videos on yt that give examples.

| I am looking for a more official well developed game where you can build your own roblox game. |

Those videos are confusing, here is a example i came up with to compare and put into perspective of how badly made they are.
video 1 - talks about what a car is
video 2- talks about what a tire is
video 3 - builds a engine without telling you how it works
video 4 - builds frame without telling you anything or how
video 5 - builds the whole car and not telling you how anything works or how he really did it
video 6 - tunes the car without telling you why and how it works.

Sounds like something I could make. It could get pretty popular too. This will take a while to make though, and I am already working on a game at the moment. But once I finish my game, I can start working on this.

| Make sure you explain everything. Like say "this line of code does this, and this line of code would mean this. And thus function does this" and make them figure out how to put it togther. |

| I find the wiki clear though. Also, not all videos are "short and explain nothing". To be honest, I'd rather listen to someone explain it to me rather than read #### ## a game. |
