I'm trying to make an RPG that has enough custom-made and original features to deviate from the poorly made predictable ones.
Feedback and criticism really helps! https://www.roblox.com/games/704346589/test-map-2
Noteworthy features: - R15 enemies & NPCs - Custom NPC system (click to talk & jump to continue conversation) - FilteringEnabled compatible shop - Area-specific soundtracks & songs for individual bosses
The first area is currently small and the second area is incomplete but right now I'd like to know what I should add, remove, and replace.

I agree, it's probably because a lot of my ideas came from the RangeMeludE games. Is there anything that would make it feel nicer?
My goal is to create a turn-based battle system but I can't guarantee finishing something like that in the near future.

| Why can't I swing the sword Also when I talk to the boss guy I get stuck on the end he says "Try" I can't get rid of it unless I reset. Honestly I know you're tryna make it unique with the jump to continue the interaction but I don't like it, I would prefer if I could just click to continue so I can use my other hand to ##### ## ##### |

@robloxman I'll reduce the restrictions on the camera
@MostDesirable The sword could use some more animations, also what you described with the boss sounds like a glitch which I will look into, I've never encountered that error I do plan on binding a different key to continuing the conversation or allowing the user to press an arrow button to continue as jumping is an unusual choice |

Sounds good.
Another idea might be to add to the terrain, make it look like an actually forest or something with variations in the ground so it doesn't look like a ton of npc's are standing on a flat piece of land without purpose or reason |

| I agree that the terrain could use more details, I'll think of some map designs |

Oh I think I know the source of the problems with both the sword and the boss
Both were scripted to work with R6 avatars and currently need R15 compatibility updates
I wasn't aware of that before you said something, thank you! |

LUA frustrates me so I tend to avoid it, so would you please post the levitate script below?
(Don't ignore me, I know where you post)

| @CWSinister I don't think giving you the scripts I worked on solely because you voluntarily avoid learning how to script is a good motivation. Persisting by trying to find me on other sub-forums telling me to give you my scripts only comes off badly. If you are frustrated with Lua I strongly recommend seeing the wiki for advice. |

It's one simple script, that I'm asking of you. It's rather simple lua so I wouldn't consider it "Hard work" when it took you 5-10 minutes at most to write it.
Also, it isn't being "lazy" I've tried for years till I just gave up, I only manage to edit scripts. I'll be completely honest with you, your building skills are rather basic compared to your scripting skills.
I can build just fine, I might build at a slow pace but I can still pull it off. You think scripting is easy for everyone? No, some aren't capable of it since it's rather gibberish.

With that being said, unless you get a professional builder your game will die. So good luck with your selfish intentions.

you seemed to get pretty fired up about that
you put phrases like "lazy" and "hard work" in quotes implying i used them i agree that building is my weakness but i only have ~2 buildings in the game right now i didn't say that scripting was easy
but the "when it took you 5-10 minutes at most to write it." is a very inaccurate assumption if anything you're the one making it sound like scripting is easy the animation script is 100+ lines of code manipulating the CFrame of the player's joints testing alone made it time consuming the only selfish intention here is your insistence that i give you something solely because you want it with no regard for the effort i put into it

I'm talking about the damn levitate script.. not the whole game.
That one particular script that makes the brick float up and down?

Honestly could careless about the rest of the scripts, since it's irrelevant to the game I have in mind.

Oh you're referring to the script that makes the GUI go up and down? That's what you meant by "levitate"?
But again, you're angrily telling me to give you something I made offering nothing in return and actively seeking me out on multiple forums telling me to give you it, I have no inclination to give you it.
However, I can tell you how to make it: http://wiki.roblox.com/index.php?title=API:Class/GuiObject/TweenPosition

Can you provide a tutorial for a brick instead? I've got a welded part I need to levitate then spin.

In that case I don't know what you're even referring to when you say "levitate." At first I thought you meant the animations, then I thought you meant my SurfaceGuis, now I'm not even sure what you're asking for.

If you can make a gui levitate, I'm sure you can make a brick levitate.

It doesn't work the same way but for a brick it's easier. You just need to know the basic properties of a brick as well as the basics of computer science programming.
Make a loop that increases and decreases the position and rotation.

You literally just spoke gibberish to me. You're familar with the basics, I am not therefore I cannot comprehend what you're saying.
Redirect me to a tutorial please.. just a heads up most of the youtube tutorials are out of date.
