I actually did ROTC my sophomore year because of some glitch in the system
I didn't like it too much, I wasn't very keen on the marching on Mondays

@xdude52, Highschools normally only have one JROTC branch. The ultimate goal is to create better citizens through military (Core) values. Though, you learn about the uniforms, ranking structure, sense of service to your community. All depending on what you make out of it.
Now, ROTC (College), goes further and upon passing/graduating, you're a commissioned officer (2nd Lieutenant).

@CptBasilisk, You could always go to your school board and request a transfer to another high school for JROTC. Though, you may have to provide your own transportation there.
