The movie it self looks fine. The actors though. It's gonna take me awhile to get used to the new actors.

| Finally someone shares my thoughts. I to this day still read the Wimpy Kid books, and I'm not ashamed of it. The new film actually looks somewhat self aware that it's just another Wimpy Kid film, and doesn't need to stay relevant as long as it stays dated in its own way. |

"I to this day still read the Wimpy Kid books, and I'm not ashamed of it" Same here. Although I haven't read the newest one yet, I hope to get it soon.

@frost When I saw that tweet this morning, I thought it was a joke. Boy was I wrong.

| The new book was pretty good, it just felt like a compilation. There was no real main goal or plot, it was just a bunch of random ideas thrown to see what sticks. Still executed well though. |

| I do have to admit, they chose the right book to somewhat reboot the series with. All the other ones just don't really seem to fit into a movie. This one at least has a beginning to end story without a billion plot holes. |

@bv
I was just about to say how he was honestly the worst character to recast, but now I can't without that statement making me look r@cist. |

I would've atleast wish they recasted the dad, rowley, and rodrick. Rodrick's old actor fit him so stinking well.
