What activities/electives did you all get into in Highschool?
What Major did you go for in College if you went/currently going?

I took all the easy electives in high school because I did trade school (Vocational school) while I was in high school, and took some classes online as well. I liked my art, cooking class, and creative writing electives the most.
I took a nursing course in trade school & graduated high school with a CNA certification.
& I start college in the Fall; going into Nursing & planning on getting an Associate's degree.
I just felt like sharing. Lol |

@chowder00, Nice! I have been in AFJROTC and mandated electives my freshmen year, then AFJROTC and a vocational school for Homeland Security my sophomore year to now (Senior Year). I have been accepted to a college after an ROTC Scholarship.

Thanks! @Extortionist
Cool. :p I had a few friends that took ROTC in high school. That's really awesome that you got a scholarship.
Why did you take Homeland Security? & Was it interesting? |

My ultimate goal upon starting as an Officer in the Air Force is to be Security Forces. Which is basically a Military Police equivalent in other branches. The class was hands on and learned about a variety of topics, as well physical training with them. The class was recommended by my AFJROTC SASI upon discussing what electives would be good for my career in the Air Force. Homeland Security and Criminal justice were the two recommended.
I've also gone to an academy based school through high school.

@chowder00, I dropped the vocational school last semester. As now, I have AFJROTC for a block, and two class periods. I have option of AFJROTC in the afternoon or leave the school for co-op. Although, this semester I was given the role Deputy Group Commander and promoted to c/Lt. Colonel. Which basically means I am second in command on the cadet leadership. Therefore, most days I hangout in the JROTC room.

@Extortionist And I think it's really neat overall that you want to be in the Air Force. It takes special people to do things like that, because that stuff is hard work; therefore, not everyone is capable of doing it. So, I admire you & other people that are interested in fields like that.

@Extortionist I honestly didn't think you'd even respond to any of my responses, haha. Best convo I've had with someone in a while because you actually know what you're talking about & you seem to be very intelligent.
Just figured I'd point that out. |
