| It would be cool if roblox could add roblox studio to roblox in a sepreate app I really do not care about that but as a developer developing on the go can make it easy for me and many devs |

| It's actually in development. There was a little post about it while ago about an example of what it would be like that was made in a short period of time. |

"what is a laptop"
A touch interface would be messy to work with in a development software environment. Where you need precision and a lot of typing and camera positioning.
Just use a laptop. I use my thinkpad t61 for mobile work in autocad and solidworks, still powerful enough to run it with decent battery life and it cost me 40$. Roblox studio wouldnt even phase it. |

Well, tough luck. It would be awful.
As someone who works with a lot of professional software for 2d and 3d drafting and modelling, there is a reason why touch devices are not used in the professional industry for anything other than graphical work. Its because they are not precise. How am i going to move something .05 studs by dragging my finger across a screen? Id have to type it in, and that would just be a pain to do. Whats the point of having a touchscreen then if im typing everything in on that digital keyboard?
When im working with a part thats measured in thousandths of an inch, i cannot do that with anything other than a mouse and keyboard. Dragging my finger across a screen to move something that far isnt going to happen, i need a high DPI mouse and a high resolution screen to do it by hand.
And furthermore on that, doing that even is near impossible if im working with a 3D face. Then that has to be done with the CLI because i cannot move something that precise with even a mouse. Let alone a finger on a touchscreen.
And while roblox doesnt get that small, once again im back at moving something .05 studs with a touchscreen. Not possible, you wouldnt be able to see that movement behind your own finger unless you were zoomed all the way in on that point.
Then comes the hardware itself, most tablets are running low resolution displays, 480p to 720p, with more high end models having 1080p displays. Your screen would be 50% buttons and other UI. Even really high end tablet devices like the Surface Pro 4 and the newest iPad Pro are around 3k resolution, which is great, but on such a small screen your UI would have to be scaled up. And then you have the same issue as before, in order for it to look good and be touchable it would take up most of the screen.
Not happening, it would basically be studio but gimped like classic build mode or something. Roblox knows this and knows that the majority of the players on tablets do not care about making their own game in studio. And anyone who did, would be smart enough to buy either a laptop if they wanted portability, or a desktop if they wanted proper performance. |

it would lag and probably wouldnt run well on mobile
plus it would be too hard to use, the menus would be really small (and there really isnt any room for "optimizing" the menu layout, it's going to be small no matter what)
if it could run on mobile you'd have to play it on something as big as the ipad pro, and at that rate you might as well just use a laptop or pc |

They are making an port already.
It would be really hard to use Studio on phone, though.

Too many details, not enough space. Too much power, not enough RAM and CPU. Too many obbies and tycoons, not enough quality games. Too many unproductive ROBLOX execs, not enough productive execs.
That's why it would not work.

Mobile devices are not meant for professional game-making.
