5. In Utero - Nirvana (1993) Very good album, includes quite possibly my favorite song ever (Milk It), but a lot of the songs make this album a skip-and-sift kind of thing. I don't like that, so it makes #5 on this list. Still good, though.
4. Dysfunction - Staind (1999) Easily my favorite nu-metal album, with Korn's debut 1994 album a close second. I don't think there's a single song that I can skip on this album. Even the hidden song is perfection. And it was my first metal album, so I gotta give it props for that.
3. Tormented - Staind (1996) This is Staind's best album by far IMO, and it's still the darkest album I have ever listened to. Very underrated. The artwork, the lyrics, it's all pure emotion. We're not talking about edgy teenager emotion, either. It's a buildup of anger and sorrow over the years, and Tormented unleashes all of it in the form of music. This kind of emotion is something that those edgy, emo bands wimpily try to recreate. Not to mention that Tolerate is such a killer song to start an album with.
2. Bleach - Nirvana (1989) Usually when people think of Nirvana, they think of Nevermind. I think of Bleach. Sure, the mixing isn't all that good, but I feel like this album has it all. It sounds completely different from the commercial stuff Nirvana put out, and it is loaded with great songs. It even features Dale Crover in a few songs, which is always a good thing. If someone tells me that Kurt Cobain only knew how to play power chords, I show them this album.
1. Bullhead - The Melvins I remember hearing this album for the first time. I always wanted something that sounded like Nirvana, yet slower, louder and heavier. And I always loved Dale Crover's drumming in Nirvana, as well as the weird songs like Hairspray Queen the most. It just so happens that The Melvins have all of those features, and then some. This album is amazing. From start to finish, I have to listen to every single part of every song. And it never gets old. Houdini doesn't even compare to this IMO. You couldn't even give me 90 billion dollars to stop listening to Bullhead, or any amount of money for that matter.

| I don't really like much of the albums here, but it's interesting list especially how you describe the albums with a paragraph or less and the honorable mentions is a lot. Nice list, though. |
