So my AMD graphics card isn't showing up and under display adapters. Instead of my AMD one it's saying "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter".
So I went to try and install the AMD drivers off their site, HOWEVER when it finished It just gave me a black screen forcing me to turn the PC off via power button.
What do, how fix |

plug the HDMI cable from your monitor into the other slot, you most likely have it plugged into the onboard gpu instead of the external one

you don't need to open it, just swap the HDMI cable in the back into the other available slot
if that doesn't work, open the back and look for the GPU, press on the clip at the bottom to unlock it and then put it back in
make sure you ground yourself to avoid static while doing this

OLF STOP IT, I was making pizza >:(!
I took it out and put it back in again, but it's still PRETTY messed up. I just keep getting black screen before the windows log in screen comes up. I've reinstalled windows like 8 times by now and still nothing SIGH |

if you go to devices and printers (control panel, search it) do you see the graphics card show up under "display devices" or something like that? look for it and if it doesn't show up then you don't have it installed properly
if it does then you probably have to plug your hdmi cord or what ever into the card itself, not the motherboard |

Yeah it already is plugged directly into the AMD card. Now it's just black screen so I can't even get into my PC to go to control panel OLF...
should I just take it into a store tomorrow sigh |
