Unacceptable answer: Because it's fun.

Other than that, go ahead.

Example: I like Halo because it allows me to live out a warrior who can do things I could never dream of doing in a quick and efficient manner. All the canonical books add onto the lore instead of entangling it, and Bungie's Haloes were all truly innovative. Also shooting aliens is entertaining.

"Because it's fun"

why is that unacceptable

"Why do you like Nintendo games?" is asking for your opinion of why you like nintendo games

and "because it's fun" is an opinion

Because "because its fun" is a shield to hide behind. # #### ### to outline exactly WHY you like it and WHY it's fun.

Because they're simple to pick up, and easy to have fun with. Also the fact that they're well designed and polished ## #####

And question...
Am I the only one who respects Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo and PC all equally?

I like Pokemon because the concept of catching and collecting monsters is pretty cool. Also, you can play competitively online if you wish to add difficulty and which allows you to think of ways to build a good team. I admit that I haven't really played much of the last two mainline Pokemon games but Moon's cutscenes are good and I like the characters.

I like Mario because Mario games are always pretty solid platformers. And the 3D ones are entertaining too

Zelda, I still don't know how I feel about Zelda. Ocarina of Time is an impressive 3D game though. Just knowing that it was Nintendo's first 3D Zelda game and how it still holds up well today is pretty amazing (I've only played the 3DS version). I like the dungeon crawl aspect of Zelda games

I like Kirby platformers the same reason as I like Mario ones. The ability aspect is pretty cool and I like Kirby's character (It may not be the best though)

alright

1. i GREATLY appreciate that in this day and age, nintendo games work on release

2. you see a little bit less as of late, but nintendo has always tried new things or gone a different direction on most of their consoles. for example, the gamecube had a lot of new games that kinda went out on a limb from the series they originated from (metroid prime, mario kart double dash, kirby air ride, f zero gx, pokemon colosseum, battalion wars, wind waker, star fox adventure, super mario sunshine, etc) and the motion controls on the wii was a pretty radical thing at the time, considering things like the playstation move and kinect followed afterward. you also see this with the folding screens design of the ds and with the upcoming switch letting you exchange peripherals and whatnot.

3. i feel like a lot of their games have a certain amount of charm to them. for example in advance wars, they created a whimsical strategy game out of a serious topic like war. that's not to say nintendo can't make a serious game though, like perfect dark or the metroid series.

4. they absolutely dominate the handheld market and for good reason, considering all the great games they've put out for handheld

5. they're pretty much the only people that still vehemently support local multiplayer, i was pretty sad that microsoft killed that off in halo 5 (which is their most iconic series when it comes to local multiplayer)

oh and op if you like shooting aliens, there's metroid

Truthpost. +1 for Nintendo

I feel like this leads to a more difficult switch between franchises. The Wii, the Wii-U, and now the Switch are all vastly different from the other two consoles' controllers, and that certainly hurts any attempt to jump ship from the other two platforms to Nintendo.

Mk. Kewl.

Unfortunately, iPhones and the like still dominate the handheld market, technically, since they can do other things. But for certain in the days before and in the early days, the DS and 3DS were on the top of the world. They have put good games out comparatively, but as an outside observer, I can't see much difference between the launch games on the 3DS and the games that are on the 3DS now.

5. they're pretty much the only people that still vehemently support local multiplayer, i was pretty sad that microsoft killed that off in halo 5 (which is their most iconic series when it comes to local multiplayer)
All the same, it's pretty fun to fight a battle with more than four people.

I thought metroid fought robots.
Huh.
All the same, while the Master Chief is OP, he's only OP in the canonical literature, as opposed to in the games. In the games, though, Samus is OP, being able to use rockets and lasers and fly an entire spaceship on her own.
I feel like I can relate more to (Bungie) MC, since he's a more realistic hero. The kind who can do it, but is lucky to be able to do it.

I like Nintendo games because Nintendo (imo) truly knows how to make a good game. Most of their games (*most* of the time) their games are carefully crafted and well made. I'm not good at explaining how ever

I like games if they're fun to play, not purely because they're Nintendo games.

Nintendo games offer so much, for so many kinds of gamers.

I can have so much fun playing games like Mario and Kirby who give me platforming and an overall good experience.

I can go live in the action of Metroid Prime and let loose on hundreds of hostiles and have a ball exploring.

I can go dust off my Earthbound and jump into the lives of people, make em stronger, get caught up in the story, dive right in. Same with Fire Emblem.

Nintendo gives players a wide variety of options to go to that nearly everything is covered.

They've released some bad games, they've kept us hanging on good franchises (kid icarus PLEASE) but I can't really say Nintendo hasn't come through in any genre, aside from horror or drama.

Yeah, well, it is fun. Since when did games have to be more than just a fun way to spend your time? Since when did they have to be a gritty critique on life itself with no colors and just a gray-brown waste of "realism"? I like Nintendo games because most of them are good quality, a nice way to waste a few hours, and none of them are gritter than a bowl of crushed gravel.
There's no desperate cashgrabs like "BUY THIS TWENTY DOLLAR DLC TO MAKE THE GAME PLAYABLE", too. All the DLC I've seen is nice, but not necessary to enjoy yourself, and it adds a good amount.
The systems to play the games on are nigh unbreakable, which is good if you're clumsy like me. I've dropped my 3DS more times than I can count and it still works excellently. Compare that to your console, which breaks easily.
And all in all, even if the graphics of your games are better and there's a wealth of lore, I don't like shooty games. Call me nuts for wanting to kill things the old fashioned way, with a sword.

Nintendo games are really hard to master and to be the absolutely best to be at. Also, there are some certain Nintendo titles I love because 1st parties decide to focus on story. (eg. Xenoblade Chronicles, LOZ: Breath of the Wild)

(Kirby: Planet Robobot actually had some interesting story elements that progressed through the (extremely) hard part of the game, as the difficulty maxes out by the time you unlock the True Arena.)

Also, some games, like Mario Kart 8 and Smash Bros, hard to "beat" when you can learn different tech skills to make you better than other people.
