Google is probably one of the preferred companies to become a massive multi-market monopoly because they don't seem to be screwing things up with their current internet and technology services (unless you count youtube's crappy flagging system)

The perks that's being offered with this youtube TV subscription service seems very decent and would actually get me into watching tv, or atleast pay for it when I move out

Searching the web tells me that Google is technically a monopoly, especially outside the us, but not in the traditional sense
If the youtube tv service becomes wildly popular, then it'll be something like an oligopoly.

With this information, I would consider Youtube a monopoly but it kinda is and kinda isn't. It doesn't sell you videos but other competitors like Vimeo are not well known to make a dent in they way people know about youtube

| A monopoly is a company that literally forces out any competition. Owning a large market share is not a monopoly. Many companies in the food industry are only owned by one company. For example, Kfc tacobell etc are all owned by yum brands. |
