I'm just getting started with Roblox Studio, and I had a project that was "bombed" with random scripts, does this happen a lot? Do assets available in the editor get validated and verified at all?
I had only 3 external assets, 2 models and 1 song added and still the project got "bombed". I have tried to re-create a simple project and adding those 3 resources to see which one caused the generations of a lot of random scripts, but couldn't reproduce it.
Any hints or tips on how to avoid similar issues in the future? |

Hello, if you are talking about free model items it is best to check them for weird scripts that say things like "infection, daaaannnggg) and there are some others I forget what they were. I would do this in edit mode (I'm not sure if build is still a thing or not) delete them. Also something I notice a lot too is random fire in parts with a script in it saying "spread" it almost seems like it comes after touching parts with the roblox character in test mode or something. The best way to keep this from happening is to try and stay away from freel models in general, mainly old ones.
If this doesn't help though feel free to tell me and I can try to help more |

After some more testing, I think the problem is this asset:
https://www.roblox.com/library/445204500/Ore
Adding it to an empty project and running test once, will generate a bunch of random scripts.
This is published by a relatively active Roblox-user, with many friends and followers and activity. Apparently also advertises that they develop models for hire.
I don't know if the user intentionally added this spam-script to their model, or if it is by mistake. Could someone else also verify that I'm actually correct about the behavior of this model?
So the user have pages of models published and available, and the model in question was published back in June 2016. Nobody else noticed this? I gave it a down-vote to help others avoid it, and I reported it.
Tried another model, "Desert Template" from the same user, it did NOT add scripts like the other one: https://www.roblox.com/library/522785706/Desert-Template |

| Aslo Audio though doesn't have the script things as it is a audio uploaded straight to the Roblox site and not through studio. Just thought I'd point it out too |

So is this only when testing? As I said Try looking for scripts in the model that seems fishy or is named do like that, some time it may be a mistake or they might had a model from someone else that had a script of that kind in it, in their workspace. I can test it out for my self and see what your taking about in a bit. |

I'm new to Roblox Studio, but did tests to verify new empty projects with that model alone, nothing else.
Thanks for the advice on avoiding free assets, I'm just experimenting at the moment with a game idea, and I have started importing assets from Unity instead and relying on that for my model needs. |

| yeah, I mean not all models are bad, it is good to use them to see how it works or something, and also with free scripts (if they are good) its good to look at them and see how its done or use them. but over time if your not familir with building in 3d building things you will get good at building. but it seems you know things. |
