***Before i start this, i am ABSOLUTELY NOT gonna use it if its added.***
So i have been learning to code ever since i started roblox (Not TO Long Ago.) and i really still dont got it straight. I hear lots of people complaining on coding takes to long to master, and that they wish they could make a decent game. So i was thinking...
Why not add a kids mode?
What it would be is basically the original drag and drop game creator. It would be easier to make games for kids that want to start game developing on ROBLOX, but can't because of the lack of time it takes to learn a LITTLE bit of coding.
This is a pretty simple idea, and most likely gonna get a lot of non supporters...
But whatever? Worth a shot |

| It's literally the same thing but you don't type. Even if that did help they would make bad games because the logic is still there. |

| Optionally dimming down the studio and having a scratch-style coding interface would be a good idea heh. |

| Support. The "kid's mode" could be like Scratch programming, where you drag and drop script blocks and connect them. |

| Support, but it really should be called beginner's mode, since there are 13+ who don't know how to code/build well. |

^^
Coding = can take years to master
Drag and drop (scratch basically) = about a week or 2
Kids/beginners should be allowed to make games to and not struggle. Just because you think its easy, doesn't mean other people dont... |

@Kump Just stop..
@Pull
Coding you have to type, blocks helps you learn the basics. Coding it requires typing for many many hours, blocks help new players see what coding is going to LOOK like. Example, if a block says "Turn Object (Blank) Degrees" They have to fill the blank then run the script, this will show what it looks like, and also help them by a LOT if they want to get into regular coding.
It's easier for the beginners, and helps them learn faster. What is there to NOT understand? |

True, beginners don't know what exactly to type, which is why there is the wiki and ROBLOX YouTube tutorials. To find the right block, you have to search for it just like you would for something in the wiki (by typing in a search bar).
You can just do some stuff in scratch so you can notice similarities when going on to learn Lua and just start thinking programmatically. |

| SUPPORT. I think it is a good idea, I know you can use free models, but some people want to have ORIGINAl items in an EASY way. People on the forums are very picky. |

Better idea:
Team up with code-academy to create a Roblox-LUA course, it could explain alot of the commands and scripts in a easy to understand way while aready having a LUA console and roblox studio up as well.
snivy is cool i guess |

First off, nobody on Roblox codes. It's scripting -- they are 2 completely different things.
Second, this would be a waste of Roblox's developer's time, because if you need to use blocks to script, your game will not get anywhere. Roblox makes money off these popular games, and they wouldn't pay people to develop something that would make them loose profit.

Hello there. You don't know me? Well, I'm the guy who has shut down almost every thread like this. Enjoy.
1) Unreal Engine uses a thing called Blueprint Visual Scripting. However, you can still make professional games with it. If what you want here is added to Roblox, Studio would turn into a six-year old's playground.
2) Lua would be removed. The admins have had a history of removing the older but still used feature. Take Legacy Physics. Some games needed that, and then the admins decided to ruin all those games because 'PGS is the future!'
3) The only way to learn is the hard way. Man, if only I could tell that to the school board. I managed to avoid it, but schools keep implementing these fake coding lessons into the curriculum, and this is because the board wants to add coding classes but they look at languages like C++ and they're like, 'Okay. This is too hard. Let's give them a watered down version of this stuff!' There are easier languages out there! Lua is one of the easiest languages created and serves as an even better introduction the wide world of programming.
4) Block coding sets kids up for failure. They'll finish thinking, 'I'm a professional coder now!' And then they'll want to learn more. But when they start a real language, their world is rocked. They see this world where you have to type it all out! If you skipped the blocks and went straight to something like Python, you end up in a better state than if you didn't skip it. |

| I agree with jtrobloxian, however I don't know how to script, I tried looking at videos and the wiki, nothing was helping. My suggestion would just be a better explained version of how to begin scripting. |
