Is there a function that fires whenever I hover my mouse over a brick or a gui? I've looked at all the wiki pages, other forum post and I still cannot find a solution.

MouseEnter and MouseLeave http://wiki.roblox.com/index.php?title=API:Class/TextButton
You haven't looked at all the wiki pages, I bet you googled something obscure and browsed for 2 seconds before coming here :)
there's no shame in that, though

| If you were born before 2000, you will know that the # symbol is called a 'hash', not a 'hashtag'. We aren't on a certain social media site. |

C# = C-Hash? Ooops I mean C-sharp
...Or was it, C-octothorp? C-hashtag? C-pound? C-hatch?
You do know this symbol has a billion names, correct?

The symbol, on its own, is a hash. In specific contexts, and combined with other things, the symbol can mean other things. For example, in its proper context, a 'hashtag', and again, in its proper context, 'sharp' (music notation comes to mind).
But this is ROBLOX. Not a social media site, nor music, nor that programming language. The hash is simply being used *as a symbol* - no special context. It is certainly not a hashtag. I rest my case. |

| So why don't you call it C-crosshatch or C-pound or C-number sign because those are all just as well? It's a hash because you want it to be a hash It's a pound because I want it to be a ##### #### a hashtag because twitter is repurposing its utility as a symbol and they-so decided to call it a hashtag And there's nothing wrong with any of those. |

OP you find our posts ignorant because you have the intelligence of an overripe zucchini.

| Wrong. ### symbol is a hash. Look it up. ### hash symbol is used in music notation (where it is called a sharp), on twitter (where it, combined with ### #### following, becomes a hashtag), and in programming (where it, appended to 'C', becomes sharp). This is none of those. It is a hash symbol. There is nothing more to it. I won't prolong your embarrassment. |

You clearly don't understand the point I am trying to illustrate-
It doesn't matter whether I call it a hash or a hashtag or a pound or a sharp because >literally< it is all of those things. And I'm not using the word literally by its new meaning, I mean it is, in literature, all of those things.
Did you drop out of English early? It's a flexible construct.
