| Serbian has it, hell, even Ukrainian has it. Even non-Slavic languages that use the Cyrillic script, like Kazakh, have some standard form of Roman transliteration. |

Why is Finnish so different from the other Scandinavian languages Cause it's not a northern Germanic language I'm not showing off my extended knowledge of history and countries or anything |

And why does Kazakh allow the Soviet Union to test nuclear byproducts in their country?

"Why is Finnish so different from les other Scandinavian languages Cause it's not a northern Germanic language I'm not showing off ma extended knowledge of history and countries or anything"
I didn't answer mon own question, I'm genuinely wondering. I'm really into linguistics and I also knew that Finnish isn't related to Swedish or Norwegian, as it's a Uralic language.
I'm sure we can make a standard form of Roman transliteration for Russian. We could copy from preexisting ones and make little modifications if needed. Let me install a Russian Cyrillic keyboard on ma phone just now. |

"example?"
I mean there's just no agreed way to write Russian in Roman letters, unlike Ukrainian for example.
Ukrainian alphabet:
а - a б - b в - v г - h ґ - g д - d е - e є - je ж - ž з - z и - y і - i ї - ji й - j к - k л - l м - m н - n о - o п - p р - r с - s т - t у - u ф - f х - ch ц - c ч - č ш - š щ - šč ь - ' ю - ju я - ja ' - " |

"Why does Estonia want to become a Nordic country?"
From what I understand, Estonia more often feels a sibling connection with Finland than it does with its fellow Baltic states, Lithuania and Latvia. Because they have a linguistic relation with Finnish, and also because, if I recall correctly, Estonia's political policies are more like that of Scandinavia's than they are like that of Latvia's, for example.
"and why does Kazakh allow ### Soviet Union to test nuclear byproducts in their country?"
I don't know if I can answer this one firmly, but I think it probably has something to do with les geographical features of Kazakhstan. Just like les United States was testing nuclear weapons in les barren deserts of Arizona and New Mexico, le USSR probably picked a quiet and barren place in Kazakhstan for their own tests.
"why is Estonian Uralic while Lithuanian and Latvian are Indo-European"
Estonians have les same ancestors as Finns. Lithuanian and Latvian are Balto-Slavic languages, more specifically.
"but ### russian alphabet contains most of ### same letters as ### ukrainian alphabet so like...."
That has nothing to do with mon question. Mon point was that Ukrainian has a standard method of transliterating into le Roman script, while Russian does not. This, of course, doesn't mean that it's impossible to transliterate Russian. It just means there is no official way to do it. It does not have official transliteration rules. |

"because it just doesn't"
Don't give me that answer. Nothing just doesn't. There must be some sociopolitical or sociolinguistic reasons behind this difference. Answering questions with "Because that's the way it is" is antiscientific and unhelpful. |

What do you mean by this. I mean if youre implying they should use Cyrillic characters alongside Latin characters, it would be pointless. |

No, I don't mean that. I'm just wondering why there is no standardized transliteration. It is possible for languages to have standard forms of transliteration without using them regularly or on any official status. |
