If anyone wants to know the truth about John (and Jane) Doe, here it is. None of these are lies; these are facts and theories.
John and Jane were created as test accounts for ROBLOX right when it was created, in 2006. They would, say, join a game when there was one player because ROBLOX did not have a lot of players, so they wanted that player to have someone to play with. John and Jane were the 2nd and 3rd account, while the 1st was an account called ADMIN, an account that tested admin commands and was later replaced by the ROBLOX account. John and Jane Doe were not people, but I'm pretty sure they were computers programmed to join servers and say words like "hi" when there was only one player on a server. Once ROBLOX got bigger, the accounts were not needed and ROBLOX did not use them anymore, and they were left alone.
They were "shut down" at the same exact time, the same exact day.
Players caught on to these accounts, and got confused. A group of hackers hacked into these accounts, but not really, because the pass's were only something like "guest" or "test." The hackers did not do much on the account, and they said hat eventually they could not even get on it. The accounts have not been on since 2006 or 2007, and no one knows who has possession of the accounts. The accounts (I think just John Doe) is friends with iHaxLV, which joined in 2015, who is also friends with 1x, who was supposedly a major hacker back in the old days of ROBLOX, but I'm not so sure. It was a group of friends (hence the for ones) who made the account for fun, or to hack, I don't know. But 1x was banned in 2007 (lifetime ban) and his game was made in 2010 and updated in 2011 iHaxLV was also friends with 2 other banned accounts. Also, John and 1x are friends with iHaxLV which joined in 2015, when both of them stopped playing in 2006 or 2007. How is this possible? Must have something to do with hackers or the admins of ROBLOX, or maybe even a glitch. No one will ever know.
Supposedly, on March 18th every year, one ROBLOX player will get a message from John or Jane Doe or an anonymous user saying random symbols and numbers. That means you will be the next account to get hacked, but I'm pretty sure that's a hoax. If you are superstitious, do not play on that day. If you like to live life on the edge, go ahead! Since the accounts got hacked, the programming got messed up apparently, so that's why the accounts say random numbers and letters.
John and Jane Doe are not the that creepy, but the more you find information, the more they are. Some things make no sense in ROBLOX. Is this all a prank? Is ROBLOX doing this for some drama attracted to this site? Accounts like c00lkidd and other hackers (I forget their names) are for sure hackers, and most were banned. Nothing much. But these accounts are mysteries. Does 1x have an alt account? (The account starts with a 5 and has a lot of numbers.) Are these ROBLOX "myths" just accounts to bring attention to ROBLOX? Reply with your thoughts.
Sorry for the LONG passage, lol. This is about all I know and remember about THESE specific myths. Enjoy! :) (Sorry about the hashtags if there are any) |

i like to debunk stuff, yay
"who is also friends with 1x" The story I've been told when I was a kid is that once upon a time ROBLOX had *really* incompetent engineers and the website had **tons** of vulnerabilities and exploits. I didn't look into these things back then being barely able to write code, so other than agreeing that Erik was a great guy and a great role-model, I can't confirm or deny anything.
So, you can imagine the fun you can have when administration privileges are granted to user accounts, not specific machines with specific credentials with specific keys and cookies and all this security stuff baked in like you should do.
1x1 was basically some random edgelord kid who probably got administrator permissions by 'hacking' into Telamon's account or something and granting their own account (+ Pheedy, and some others) administrator permissions. (psst kids, DON'T USE MD5 FOR IMPO###NT SECURITY STUFF. YOU'LL REGRET YOUR LIFE CHOICES.)
"Since the accounts got hacked, the programming got messed up apparently, so that's why the accounts say random numbers and letters." That doesn't really make any sense. Unless the bots were written in a language that's interpreted like Lua (psst, it's a BAD language!) they wouldn't be subject to more 'accidental corruption' than any other program. If they are interpreted, all they have to worry about is something messing with the strings they send out.
They probably are *intended* to say random characters, numbers, and phrases, because random garbage is the easiest stuff to test for.
They're analogous to your assert()s or your kprint()s or your dbprint(msg), and all, for an online MMO where communication is important.
If I was writing a test bot, I would just have one of the two wait for a response in the chat, if none comes up after 10 seconds, produce a random garbage string, then have the second bot see this chat message and chat back the previous message backwards + the current time hashed with MD5, just to make more garbage text. Then disconnect after 20 minutes or something. Record each message sent, check both clients if they received the message, blah blah blah. |

I got y'all covered since OP won't post a TL;DR: John Doe and Jane Doe were test accounts programmed to keep people busy and not to let them get bored. 1x was a famous hacker back in the day. Supposedly people were saying that you would get a message by John and Jane Doe telling you you will be the next victim to a hacking. Apparently John Doe were friends with 1x and some guy named iHaxLV. Both hackers. 1x might have an alt.
your welcome.

I am 100% sure that Admin was used to test the banning system not admin command, lol. Admin command weren't created until years later (by users).
