I've seen plenty of people with 8GB of RAM and ROBLOX runs like, smoothly, even on the graphics setting of 10.
Here's my processor, I think it's the problem: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E8500 @ 3.16GHz 3.17 GHz
64bit OS by the way.

I think the rest of your PC could be a bottleneck.
Are you using Integrated Graphics or a graphics card? |

RAM isnt the most important thing when trying to run roblox. You need a graphics card or integrated graphics that can handle it.
Im running on a Core2Duo E6700 at 2.6ghz, 3gb of 667mhz ddr2 and a 1gb GT 710 The core2duo integrated graphics alone are hardly enough to run roblox. Its primarily because of how integrated graphics work that slows them down.
Integrated graphics use system RAM as video RAM, meaning you will be slowed down by slow ram. Video RAM is leagues faster than regular RAM. On top of that a wolfdale c2d is also going to be limited by the video ram limit of the integrated graphics chipset. Which i think limits you to 256mb of video ram.
for a "too long, didnt read" Your integrated graphics are too weak to run roblox. Roblox can run on a system with 1gb of ram anyway You need a dedicated graphics card. If you're on a budget or have a limited power supply, pic up a GT 710 to GT 740 If you have a larger power supply and at least 100$, look into getting a gtx 750ti, 1050ti or RX 460 |

| Because you need a good GPU, not a lot of RAM |

| Do check other factors that could slow down your game, I.E Your graphics card may not be able to run it smoothly. Maybe re-installing Roblox could help fix the issue. |

It will be playable on Core2Duo graphics, i was able to play some extremely lightweight games on it before i stuck this gpu in my system, like Island Survival and Prison Life, though sometimes id be getting single digit framerates.
I have a feeling that if you're running a wolfdale core2duo today, that you've likely got an old pos system like an Optiplex or something. Picking up a cheap low end gpu will greatly help with the performance of that system. My Gt 710 was 30$ and took my system from "struggles to play minecraft beta 1.3 at lowest settings" to "60fps medium in cs:go" Its not much in the end but its still a huge jump in performance. |

It's not your computer's fault. It's because ROBLOX is a 32-bit application (just to be clear 32-bit applications can't use more than 2 or 4 GB of RAM)

| The Core 2 Duo is capable of playing decently, especially with 8GB ram. It could actually be some applications on the system. If not, reinstall ROBLOX. |

Also, if you have a laptop or All In One PC without expansion sockets, you could get something like an external graphics card. Yes, they do exist. £/$60 - 150 to be exact on price.

What are you running is one of the importance. For example, if you are running on an CORE i5 then it will be able to run ROBLOX but not on max graphics. It all depends on the processor you are running on.

Roblox performance has to do with your general system performance. You cant look at one part and say it will run fine.
You dont need a better processor, you need a dedicated GPU.
Having an i5 or i7 doesnt mean anything if you're running integrated graphics, you'd get mediocre performance. Even the current 7th gen integrated graphics on intels most high end consumer processors struggle to run Roblox in 1080p at max settings.
Roblox requires a decent GPU. I can play roblox on a 12 year old Thinkpad T42. With a 2ghz single core pentium M, which is based on the Pentium III's, 2gb of ddr, not ddr3/4, ddr, and a 128mb ati mobility 7500
This is oooooooooold hardware, and it runs roblox. A high end CPU will not help you. Roblox needs dedicated graphics. |

Your intel core is horrible.
I have 12 gigs of ram and I Core 7. I have 8 processors and runs games almost 60 fPS most times. |

Integrated graphics work out as long as you turn down the graphics (depending on resolution and intensity of game)
A decent GPU is quite good, but a GTX 1080 is too overkill (unless you're into Overwatch or something) |

Like a pci power connector? If you have a fullsize ATX system you can get a new power supply that has a 6 or 8 pin pci power connector to power the card otherwise you are going to need a low wattage card |

| If he bought a prebuilt, which he did, then there's a large chance one or more of his components could be proprietary ## friend had to replace his motherboard to change power supplies |
