Though, cameras can be incorrect at some colors..
The main three colors of anything that is digital is RGB (Red, Green, Blue)
Well, there are special sensors with filters designed for those colors, a beam splitter directs lights to those RGB sensors, but, the sensors get the same identical color, but due to the filters built in it changes to RGB.

Also note that with LCDs, the only colors you ever truly see are red, green and blue. Different amounts of these three colors make different colors.. to us, at least. So it's an illusion.

Well, I'll just explain a little brief thing about colors, just to mark, this hasnt been researched and is just my learning:
The sun is the color white, the most brightest color, whilst black is darkest. The sunlight has the color white, containing all the colors of the rainbow. Primary colors mixed get secondary colors.
Staying away from the sunlight means no light at all, bringing no color with you, loss of colors.
