| My favorite thing about role-playing is creating unique characters, with different personalities. And, seeing how the as-for-mentioned characters react in different situations. What's YOUR favorite thing about role-playing? |

| Dueling other role-players is quite entertaining, especially when they're masters of the craft. |

The only kind of acceptable dueling in my eyes is a duel to the death. Permanent death. So permanent that you'd be out of that roleplay for good.
Seriously, though, a permadeath mechanic is always fun to have in any roleplay. You may have spent about an hour figuring your character out, but are you willing to risk losing that character within the next hour? Plus, killing the character of another player has got to feel all sorts of good.
My preference for being a player is second to the fact that role-playing is generally not a linear path; you could take the story in any direction with your choices and ultimately affect the final outcome. |

| ## favorite thing about roleplaying is being a crazy character, for example, a cat made of marshmallows who pukes rainbows |

| I'm talking about completely random, out-of-the-blue duels. |

| I imagine PVP is very entertaining when done right. I have very little experience in that (though I have taken a course in stage fighting when it comes to plays in real life), and will always find a ### battle easier to detail and enrich. I'll never be a competitive roleplayer, hate to say. That does not mean I look down on people who do, though. ## favorite thing... It would have to be seeing a created roleplay go on for so much longer than you anticipated. Perhaps you started with a semi-basic character because it was one of the first times roleplaying (I'm talking offsite, here.). That character, over the course of the roleplay, grows with you as your writing gets so much better. I've had a roleplay going on for a little over a year now (we celebrated the anniversary last week), and it is only getting better. Yes, THAT is ## favorite thing, especially in a time where a roleplay lasts about a week before dropping. |

Oh, I've never seen a roleplay with a Permadeath thing. Might do that.
But one of my favorite things are the (planned out) events in.. what are they called, gah, it's been so long! |

| I like creating a character, that can be anyone I want. My imagination spreads. It's great for making a story, because you get to see how you would act in that situation; as that character. You can be anyone you want! Any time you want! Any age you want! Any gender you want! Especially any personality you want. :) |

I thought that in an RP, when your character died, it was always permanent. Huh. But ye, done right, it's really fun. You have to scroll back and look at previous attacks and the position of both your troops and the other troops to make a correct adjustment and not be called out for teleporting into the middle of the fray. |
