I'd recommend you start out with some cheaper art markers.

Use pens not pencils. Practice. Watch tutorials. Learn your style.

That's exactly the reason why you don't want to use pencils. How are you supposed to learn from your mistakes if they're gone before you can go back and look over them? Quite a few art teachers require their students to use pens instead of pencils for this reason.
Keep all the lines you make but darken the the ones you like best.

It has to be said first of all
Practice.
Anyway when I'm not sure how to draw something I'll look up various ways other people do it, try those and see what works best. Eventually you will develop your own way of doing it. Just look at other people's art in general as see what you can learn from it.
and then more practice. |

| theres # program for ipad, i have it, its called "autodesk sketchbook" its really good, its FREE! but, theres # $5 pack that gives you things like copic colors and tons of brushes |
