tell roblox to use gcc/g++ for amd64? I mean is it that hard to compile gcc? sheesh
Or if you're using Visual Studio, commit penance for your sins and then use g++/clang++ instead |

'Isn't the client 64 bit tho?'
It's not, and ROBLOX isn't open source so you can't compile it yourself and make it 64-bit.
smh
roblox won't play nice and release a nice friendly Linux ELF client, so good luck with objdump and writing your own client. You'll probably have to (illegally) reverse engineer the Windows binaries to make it 64-bit. |

[99% sure this stuff without asking first is illegal, so ask permission first. They won't give you permission, so hence the angry 'letter'. IANAL, don't do illegal stuff, etc.]
Well, you would have to run a disassembler (typically i686-pe-objdump) on the ROBLOX client. From there, you would need to rewrite a crapton of assembly directives-- usually you'll end up with for example:
_start: mov eax, 0 push eax ret
And you'd rewrite this in C++ as
int start() { return 0; }
By the way, classes will make your life miserable with objdump. Trust me, I've lost source before and spent 3x as long figuring out how it's laid out than I did writing it in the first place.
Do this for the whole output. (aka __lots__ of programming)
Then you'll end up (over a long period of time) with compilable C++ that is binary-compatible with mainline ROBLOX.
now just run g++ on it, and you get 64-bit ROBLOX.

I found that adding the Graphics mode to automatic instead of direct3D helped a little.

By the way, objdump wants to spit out AT&T syntax...
so have fun with the 80s way of sending people to software development hell it's 10000x harder than Intel. and Intel is already hard. |

That just switches your graphics backend, not giving ROBLOX more memory.
Dx11 is generally faster than DX9, and Vulkan is 10000x faster than either (take that M$!)
but roblox won't bother adding a vulkan backend soooooooooooooooooooooo |

Roblox is so lazy, They just need to add more options so it can keep up with the more intensive games.

Yeah but I used windows mainly because of steam, Linux may be good with other things but most steam games only work with windows.
